Serenity Therapy Services, Derry ​Our aim is to facilitate change and promote positive psychological wellbeing through the delivery of evidence-based CBT.

We also offer Schema Therapy for more complex disorders such as personality disorders. Here at Serenity Therapy Services we also offer Schema Therapy. Schema therapy is a newer type of therapy that combines elements of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychoanalysis, attachment theory, and emotion-focused therapy, among others. It’s an integrative approach that aims to treat personality disord

ers and other mental health concerns that don’t always respond to other treatment options. It can be particularly useful for treating borderline personality disorder. In schema therapy, you’ll work with your therapist to uncover and understand your schemas, sometimes called early maladaptive schemas. Schemas are unhelpful patterns that some people develop if their emotional needs aren’t met as a child. These schemas can affect you throughout life and contribute to problematic coping methods and behaviours if they aren’t addressed. Schema therapy aims to teach you how to ensure your emotional needs are met in a healthy way that doesn’t cause distress.

Hi Everyone

is preparing to fly out to Cambodia with a team of Hand Surgeons again in February (remember she was there in October?)

In preparation, we are asking if anyone has any gently used or new items that could be used in the hospital rehab clinic, then we would gratefully receive or pick them up.

Most especially we are looking for

GENTLY USED OR NEW:
Shoulder Slings
Adult and Children's Wrist Braces

Also gratefully received are:
Face masks
Gloves
Wound dressings
Elastoplast tape

Small children's' toys (e.g. fidget toys) that are used to help with finger and hand use.

Please let us or know directly on here if you have anything that you feel you could donate. We can collect, or you can simply drop some items at reception in the clinic.
