Today is World Mental Health Day 2025, and to mark this, Brian Toner (Service User Consultant) and Kristina Birney (CAUSE Mental Health Carers' Advocate) are encouraging everyone to visit the Western Trust's new Adult Mental Health Online Hub.

The Hub provides details on the range of adult mental health services available across the Trust. Users can also find crisis contact numbers if they are concerned about their own, or someone else's mental health. Patients and their families can also find details on our independent advocacy services for additional support.

Brian Toner states, "We created the Hub to give our patients and families up-to-date and clear information about our services, what they do, how they are accessed, and where they are located. We also wanted to highlight our patient and carer advocacy services. Advocates are independent of the Trust and they specialise in providing support and advice to patients and their families. The Hub is very much a 'live' resource, and it will be regularly updated with new information. We would welcome feedback and ideas from our service users and carers to help us continuously improve the site. The Hub has a very clear layout and is easily accessible on a smartphone."
