Come join Nuala on Saturday 2 May 2025 from 9am-12.30 for a hike up Mullaghash Mountain and a visit to Ballydonegan Sweathouse in the Sperrin Mountains.
This Saturday Morning Adventure offers you a perfect blend of nature, history, and mindfulness.
We’ll begin our adventure with a visit to Ballydonegan Sweathouse - an ancient stone structure nestled alongside the flowing burn. And whilst we cannot enter the sweathouse, you will get a great sense of a time when natural healing practices like these were common. We’ll take a moment here to engage in a quiet reflection, some deep breathing exercises, a connection to the past and to the land itself. The experience will be a reminder of the simple yet powerful ways nature has always played a role in healing and well-being.
Our journey will then continue up Mullaghash Mountain as the rolling peaks and rugged beauty of the Sperrin Mountains comes into full view as we ascend.
Then as we reach the summit, we’ll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views into the high Sperrins and out towards Benbradagh, Donald’s Hill, Binevenagh and to the Hills of Donegal.
We’ll descend down into the valley between Mullaghash and Barnes Top before joining a tranquil farm track winding through the valley and back to our cars.
After our adventure, the sense of renewal will be undeniable. Whether it’s the physical movement, the historical curiosity, or the deep connection to nature, this experience will leave you feeling refreshed, grounded, and inspired.
There will be 10 spaces and it is £15.00pp.
A moderate level of fitness is required given the ascent and the varied terrain.
