Five years today since I first taught yoga in this city! 💫✨💫
Thank you to every person who has supported me in teaching yoga during this time! The best thing I ever did was do my yoga teacher training before moving back to Derry. It has allowed me to connect with so many amazing people who I would have otherwise never met.
At the minute I have a young family so I am only teaching one class a week, which is currently in Echo Echo Dance Studio (first photo). Every week after I teach I really feel like I have filled up my cup, so thank you to all of you ❤️🙏🏼
Over the past five years I have grown to love bringing people together, and thinking of new ways to come together is a pastime of mine 🤣
Today I have been reflecting on all of the events we have done in this time; from the retreats in Donegal to festivals in Glasgow, wellness days and yoga brunches, and countless beach yogas all across Derry and Donegal. I tend to curate events that I would like to attend myself, and love to have a hand in every aspect of them, from the wellness side of things to the cooking, workshops, movement classes and of course, creating the perfect space and environment for you all to relax.
Since first training in Astanga Vinyasa yoga in my 200hr training 5 years ago I have undertaken further studies in pre and post natal yoga, meditation, Celtic wheel embodiment and yin yoga. My style of teaching has evolved, became more relaxed, and reflects elements of all of these trainings. I guess it’s a bit of a blended approach; perhaps not everyone’s cup of tea and that’s ok too!
So many happy memories, adventure, lessons, and friendships. With a few events in the pipeline, I am excited to see what the next five year brings ❤️🙏🏼🫶🏼
