Acknowledgement/Month’s Mind Mass
Mary Bradley
Died 30th December 2025
We, the husband, daughter and grandchildren of Mary Bradley wish to express our heartfelt
thanks and deep appreciation to everyone who offered sympathy, help or support to us on the
loss of our much loved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
We are grateful to our family, extended family, neighbours and friends who have supported us
and provided much-needed practical and emotional support, you have made this journey an
easier path to walk. Our thanks also to the countless people who attended Mary’s wake and
funeral, called at our home or sent cards and messages, your presence and kindness brought
us much comfort.
A special word of thanks to the staff and children of Carnhill Primary School for the guard of
honour they so graciously observed. We would also like to thank our family GPs, nurses, social
care team and admin staff at Abbey Medical Practice, whose care and unwavering support was
both professional and compassionate throughout Mary’s illness, and also to Noel Carroll at the
older people’s team for his care, help and assistance throughout Mary’s illness.
Our thanks also goes to the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, in particular, paramedics Aine
and Alison for the attention, care and support they showed to Mary under difficult
circumstances.
Our thanks also to all the medical and social care staff at Altnagelvin Hospital who cared for
Mary, in particular, those in A&E, ward 41 and ward 42. Thank you to Fr. Gerard Mongan for the
heartfelt requiem mass which celebrated Mary’s life and to Isobel and Sinead for the beautiful
music they provided. Our thanks also to Fr. Stephen Ward and Fr. Michael Canny for their
ministry to Mary at Altnagelvin Hospital.
Thank you to the many individuals and organisations that provided equipment and food
throughout the wake that are too many to mention - we are extremely grateful to you all.
A special word of thanks to all the staff in ward 2 at Altnagelvin Hospital for the compassion,
care and thoughtfulness they showed to Liam upon his sudden illness lasting throughout Mary’s
wake and funeral.
Finally, our heartfelt thanks to the Carr Family Funeral Directors for their constant care and
attention, for their advice and direction throughout Mary’s wake and funeral, and for the
compassionate and dignified manner in which they carried out their services.
As it would be impossible to thank every person individually, please accept this
acknowledgement as a token of sincere appreciation for any help that was provided. The Holy
Sacrifice of the mass will be offered for everyone’s intentions.
Mary’s month’s mind mass will be held at St. Brigid’s, Carnhill on Thursday 29th January at
7pm, all are welcome.
Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. May she rest in peace.
