βMy proudest moments are putting on clothes in sizes I never even dreamed of being in for years.
After indulging over Christmas 2024, I looked in the mirror and said enough was enough β and thatβs when I decided to make a change.
I swapped sweet breads like pancakes and wheaten for healthier options. Now I donβt miss them at all and actually feel fuller for longer. Preparation has been key, especially with snacks β having salads, fruit and vegetables ready makes all the difference. I also really enjoy the Slimming World ready meals for when Iβm on the go.
I set targets at the beginning, and they really helped me through the harder weeks. When I started hitting them, I realised this is a process β results donβt happen overnight.
Trust the process. Even when you doubt yourself, the results will come β and thatβs what gives you the motivation to keep going.
My proudest moments off the scales are going into shops and not having to search for the plus-size section β just grabbing clothes straight off the rails. Physically, I can walk up hills without being out of breath, and for the first time in a long time, I feel completely comfortable in my own skin.
The group has been fantastic β we give each other tips, and the craic keeps us coming back every week. Tabitha, our consultant, always keeps us in high spirits. Thereβs absolutely no judgement β everyone is there to better themselves and support each other.
I feel so much better in myself now β confident, healthy and energised.
And honestlyβ¦ I just ask myself why I didnβt start this soonerβ π
