🐾 Up close with an ear mite!

Our Nurses found this tiny parasite under the microscope after taking an ear swab from a itchy pup. 😳 Ear mites may be small, but they cause big discomfort!

✅ Signs to watch for: scratching, head shaking, dark ear debris
✅ Early vet care can prevent painful ear infections

🌟 Meet Sarah! 🌟

Sarah is one of our wonderful Registered Veterinary Nurses and you’ll mainly find her working in our Coleraine clinic. 🐾

She does far more than nursing – helping with the admin work behind the scenes! 💼✨

Sarah is bright, bubbly, and always brings a happy energy to the team. Outside of work, she has quite the little family of pets – her Corgi, two cats, two new rabbit additions (including one with three legs 💕), who all keep her busy and entertained. 🐕🐇🐈She's also known for taking home animals who've been brought in stray and need a little extra love and care. 💕(Just don't tell her husband!)

We’re so grateful to have her as part of our team – she truly keeps both our staff and patients smiling! 💙

🌟 Meet Sarah! 🌟

Sarah is one of our brilliant receptionists based at our Knockanboy clinic – and she’s well known (and well liked!) by all the local farmers. 🚜🐄

Alongside her reception work, Sarah also lends a hand with TB testing, so you’ll often see her out and about. On top of that, she somehow still manages to fit in milking before and after work most days – definitely one of the hardest workers we know! 💪

When she’s not working, Sarah is a bit of a secret shopping addict… rumour has it there’s a parcel arriving for her almost every day 📦😉.

At home, she has three dogs – Dug, Nel, and Tess (pictured here 🐕) – and loves nothing more than getting out for walks with them.

We’re lucky to have Sarah as part of the team 🩵

🌟 Meet Emma! 🌟

Emma is the newest member of our team and has recently joined us as a Veterinary Surgeon. 🐾

She graduated from the University of Glasgow in July and has a keen interest in mixed practice. Emma especially enjoys surgery and is excited to be starting some farm animal work soon. 🐑🐄

Outside of work, Emma loves to bake (which we’re all secretly hoping means the odd treat for the staff room 🍰😋). After 5 years away, she’s enjoying being closer to home again and spending her weekends with family — which includes her much-loved dog, cats, sheep, and ponies. 🐕🐱🐴

We’re delighted to welcome Emma to the team and can’t wait for you all to meet her! 💙

She’s pictured here with her lovely Cocker Spaniel, Nala 🐶, who keeps her busy outside of work! Alongside her nursing role, Aimee also carries out physio appointments, helping pets on their road to recovery.

This year marks an amazing milestone – Aimee has been part of our team for 10 years! 🎉 Her experience, care, and dedication make her an invaluable part of the practice, and we’re so lucky to have her. 💙

And of course, we can’t forget her love of tea – she’s either asking if anyone else wants one or already has a cup in hand. ☕💙

Rachel is part of our amazing reception team and is the go-to person when it comes to managing insurance – she keeps everything organised and running smoothly for our clients. 📑🐾

Outside of work, Rachel has quite the pack at home… 9 animals in total! 🐕🐈🐇🐍 With 3 dogs, 3 cats, 2 rabbits, and a snake, there’s never a dull moment in her household.

Her love for animals shines through in everything she does, and whether she’s helping clients at the desk, stealing cuddles from our inpatients, or caring for her own furry (and scaly!) family, Rachel always brings warmth and dedication. 💙
