YOGA FOR PALESTINE 🇵🇸

Join .yoga.beherenow and our sangha to support and stand with Palestine.

🌱

Often times our yoga practice is reduced to the time we spend on our mat, connecting with breath, moving the body, finding a bit of space for ourselves and learning to settle and centre.

But Yoga, and note the uppercase ‘Y’, real Yoga is social justice, it is questioning the systems we are a part of, it is using our time here to make a difference not just in our inner world but in the outer world too. It is not becoming so aware of our own breath that we forget about the other beings in this world that just want to breathe, to be able to find a peaceful space for themselves, to be able to rest. With all the suffering in this world it is hard no know where to help, it is hard to be aware of it all and we can find ourselves closing up in a sort of spiritual bypass. Someone once spoke to me about a way to see things to help us regulate in times of despair and helplessness.

“See this existence as a cauldron full of ingredients. There are many cooks and you are one of them. Are the ingredients you add going to be bitter (fear, guilt,shame) or are they going to be sweet (generosity, compassion, love). We have choices every day that will affect humanity and this experience as a whole. How can you add a little sweetness today, tomorrow and all days?”

I would love it if you could join me for a little charity Yoga gathering to help raise money to support the organisation as they help Palestinian families who have had their homes stolen and destroyed, families who are escaping the genocide of their people and decimation of their land.

Practice; asana, pranayama, meditation. Tea, snacks and circle.

Mandala ~ Embody & Embrace

🌿Sunday 29th June

This workshop is a deep dive into the practice of Mandala with — not so much talking about it or understanding it intellectually, but truly embodying it. We’ll get out of the head and into the body, feeling the practice from the inside out. With a spacious two-hour session, there will be time to soften, explore, and even have a little fun along the way.

🌱Begin In Yin ~ we’ll start slow, drop in, let go, and land in your body.
🌱Mandala Flow ~ moving with intention, we’ll build gradually, breath by breath, flowing from the front of the mat to the back.
🌱Standing Tall + Proud ~ we’ll slow things down, taking time in each shape, grounding through your feet, and settling in.
🌱Return To Yin ~ coming full circle, we’ll soften again, letting it all release and return to stillness.

Come just as you are. Let the practice meet you there.✨

Join .yoga over the course of 4 workshops to explore the Ashtanga Primary Series in more depth.

In these three-hour asana labs you will focus on the importance of strength, flexibility and alignment, which are so intrinsic to the traditional sequence, in a safe and supportive environment. As well as how to modify poses to make them more accessible for the body, both with and without props.

Learn how to utilize the key elements of breathe, sound, drishti, asana and bandha to become more intune with the sequence and perhaps access some poses that have been eluding you.

More than just an asana sequence, gain knowledge about the roots of the practice, the 8 limbs, and how to bring yoga off the mat and into your life.

✨AUGUST 24 - Seated Sequence (First Half)

Our Tuesday ‘Roots & Shoots’ (postnatal) and ‘Wild Nurture’ (prenatal) antenatal yoga classes are back on tomorrow - 15th April!🌱

Clare guides these nourishing, calming and empowering practices in 6 week blocks (drop-in and 2x free community spaces still available).

Nurturing a safe and friendly environment, there is a 30 minute space in between each class to socialise, bond and build friendships with other to-be-mums and parents. This also provides an opportunity to gain advice from and/or ask questions to our highly knowledgeable .breathe.yogi who specialises in birth preparations, hypnobirthing and postnatal recovery.

We can’t wait to hold space for you and your little seedlings…🫶
