Please share. This petition is now LIVE! Currently in the UK, anybody can provide ear wax removal - a barber, beautician, builder or bobsleigh driver! I aim to ensure that only suitably qualified medical professionals can undertake this highly dangerous procedure. Theres a huge risk to the public of harm, and missed diagnoses. This petition would make that illegal, and demands regulation. We want the UK government to introduce legislation to ensure that anyone carrying out ear wax removal must be medically trained, and regulated. Currently, anyone who is not a medical professional can carry out ear wax removal without having to register with the CQC.
