Well during all that sunshine this morning, it would have been rude not to capture some snaps of my pots.

And yes, we did get caught out in the rain this afternoon and packed up a smidge early but we're so grateful to everyone who came, and of course to Holly for hosting and organising everything at during the busiest time of her year! It was a really lush day, surrounded by brilliant people and we got to chat to some lovely customers.

If you weren't able to make it along today, don't forget that you'll be able to shop my pots all of next week in Totnes. Myself, Liberty and El will return to Studio Nine on 23rd-29th March with our pots, artwork and jewellery (see prev post for more details).

See you in Totnes ✨️

These thoughts have been swirling around my head all week since my last post. My concern was how to word it without sounding like a condescending, privileged tw*t, because anyone who knows me (hopefully!) knows I'm not any of those things! I'm also not perfect but I'm trying to be better.

What I want to say is that now is a really important time to support local makers and small businesses. Keep money in your local economy, support independents and own something that you can treasure for years to come - or be the ultimate gift giver because who doesn't love something unique, joyful and well made?

So don't judge the cost of a handmade product compared to what it would cost you were it mass produced because there really is no comparison. They are entirely different objects.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this and please tag in the comments any makers/indie businesses who deserve some love and support ✨️

So, so happy with my recent kiln unload. This was my first kiln firing this year and nerves always kick in the something will go wrong.

Big wins
πŸ”₯ the cake stand didn't warp, I definitely want to make more of these!
πŸ”₯ the colour on the butter domes and plates is even better than I hoped
πŸ”₯ some experiments went very well

Let me know what you like and want to see more of!

As with many things in life, there are more reasons TO (buy handmade pottery) than reasons not to.

Yes, buying a handmade mug will likely cost more than buying a mass produced mug from a large chain (Dunelm and the like) but which one will make your coffee taste better?

If you can afford to buy even just one handmade thing this year, do it. If you can afford to buy one handmade thing each month, do it. The benefits positively affect so many people - not just the maker (more money in the local economy for example).

Most creatives and crafters have small priced items from just a few pounds - I have items priced as low as Β£5!

So next time you need to buy a gift or have the chance to shop at a local makers market... support that small business, support that creative because I can guarantee you that they will value and appreciate your purchase SO much more than any large chain.

And you will own something very special - possibly totally unique and definitely created with intention.

✨️ We're coming baaaaacckkk ✨️

It's official, TWL is reuniting this month.

Pop along to .studionine between 23rd and 29th March to meet us and see our handmade creations up close and in person.

We are open for seven days including the whole weekend and late on the Friday evening, so there really is no excuse not to visit.

Making up TWL we have...

*T* a much loved silversmith who creates the most beautiful one-off rings alongside a range of brass domed earrings. El of Trinket and Trove has recently launched a new product- silver stamped pendants on liberty fabric. Catch them before they all sell out.

*W* a popular potter who makes ceramics with stoneware clay. Tracey of Wren Pottery has a range of glazes based on the coastal colours she can see from the door of her new home studio and is launching a range of pendants, featuring seaglass collected from the local shoreline.

*L* .studio a talented local artist who creates a huge range of stunning products from digital artwork to cyantoypes to unique ceramics to journalling supplies and much more besides. Liberty has a brand new product as part of her journalling range, find her sticky pages at the shop, featuring her own creative designs.

We cannot wait to see old friends and meet new ones.

Let us know in the comments if you're hoping to visit πŸ›πŸŒ™πŸ™πŸΌ

January in pictures.

I never take many photos in January. Lets face it, it's always dark and raining! I also took things slow this January. I allowed my body to rest and reset.

But I still had a few adventures and am looking forward to longer, sunnier days with more adventures and more clay.

I've just published a blog post on my website with a big update so go have a snoop if you have five minutes and come back on here to tell me your thoughts!

Also this song has been on repeat (to the point where my 5yo randomly starts singing it sometimes).

I know, I know, I promised you updated online shops, replies to DMs and big news but in the words of Wolf Alice, just let me lie here on the sofa πŸ˜‚

I will be a better potter and instagrammer soon.

In the meantime, I'm gonna settle down away from the cold with my burner glowing away on these dark evenings and a book in my hands.

How are you all settling into 2026?

Festive season is GO. I have a few mugs left but they've been popular so if you were after one let me know or get on wren-pottery.com today.

I have a random selection of bowls, so I might do a stories sale after tomorrow's market as I don't list them online.

I also have just one burner left and a handful of trinket dishes.

Don't forget that you can always DM me if you see something you like or wanna check availability on anything.

If you wanna shop in person, find me at 6-9pm tomorrow (Thursday 11th).

***Did anyone spot me in the wreath photo?? Very happy to have returned to our annual wreath making session at my lovely friend, Kats house and also happy to have found a local eucalyptus treasure trove!***
