🐾 Furry Visitors Bring Joy to Our Homes 💙

We’ve been enjoying some wonderful visits from a few very special guests recently, including puppies, alpacas, and guinea pigs 🐶🦙🐹

Animal visits are always a highlight for our residents, bringing smiles, comfort, and plenty of happy moments. These experiences can help spark conversation, encourage engagement, and support overall wellbeing in a truly natural way 🌿

It’s the simple things that often make the biggest difference, a gentle cuddle, a familiar feel, or just watching animals interact and play.

💙 Supporting Local Girl Power ⚽

We are proud to support our local grassroots girls’ football team, Dartmouth Swifts, through sponsorship from Centrum Care Homes 💙

The Deputy Manager at Beacon House Tobi has a personal connection through her daughter, who plays for the team, making this sponsorship even more special for us.

We’ve proudly provided branded jackets for the players, helping support their journey both on and off the pitch, including team travel, Lionesses matches, and inspiring community experiences ⚽✨

It’s all about confidence, teamwork, resilience, and community spirit.

We are absolutely delighted to share some wonderful news — Windward House has achieved a “Good” rating following our recent CQC inspection! This is a fantastic achievement for our home and a true reflection of the dedication, kindness and hard work of our amazing staff and colleagues, as well as the support of our residents and their families and friends.

To celebrate this special milestone, we warmly invite you to join us for a celebratory Afternoon Tea.

📅 Thursday 19th March 2026
🕒 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
📍 The Conservatory at Windward House

There will be tea, coffee, cakes and plenty of good company as we come together to celebrate this achievement as a community.

Our Company Directors will also be joining us, and they have prepared a special banner that will be displayed outside Windward House. During the afternoon, we would love to gather staff, residents, families and friends for a group photograph with the banner to mark this proud moment for the home.

Please could you let us know if you will be attending by Tuesday 17th March, so we can ensure we have plenty of refreshments for everyone. If you have any dietary requirements, please include these when you reply so we can ensure there is something suitable for you to enjoy.

It promises to be a lovely afternoon filled with smiles, celebration and appreciation for everyone who helps make Windward House such a wonderful place.
