Kirklees Council is trying to finish off free parking in the local towns, this could spell the death knell for many local businesses already struggling in the current economic downturn.
Please can I urge all patients to complain to
TRO.objections@kirklees.gov.uk quoting the reference DEV/D119-122/Car Park .
You might like to mention how this could mean you are less inclined to shop in Kirklees when large shopping centres offer free parking. The money raised from this policy is said to be used to maintain there spaces - wee all know that is lip service. Many free car parks have a 2 hour maximum stay which isn't enforced - perhaps they could start there!!
Please stop this mad policy, you only have a couple of weeks to object.

Myopia (short sightedness) is becoming more and more common worldwide. We now have spectacle lenses and contact lenses that can reduce or even halt altogether the progression of myopia. Ask about these lenses for your children at their next examination, or call in and ask.

We hope everyone is keeping well.
The government has said that masks are no longer required to be worn in shops/public transport etc.
The nature of optometry means that we often have to get very close to patients, and so we still ask that you wear a mask for an eye examination.
We are happy for you to try on new spectacles without a mask on, but may require one to be worn for some measurements to be taken.
We look forward to getting closer to normality, and trust all our patients are supportive of these measures.

We are all pleased to see the easing of COVID-19 restrictions and are looking forward to things getting back to normal as soon as possible. However, as we work in such close proximity, we respectfully ask all patients to bring a face covering to their appointments to protect both yourselves, other patients and our staff. We appreciate your ongoing patience and understanding.

Just to let everyone know that everything is up and running as smoothly as possible at the moment.
We are getting new stock in all the time, and look forward to catching up with everyone once again.

Due to a quite incomprehensible decision from the Government and Optical Bodies, it has been decided that opticians can remain open as normal during this lockdown. It appears we are seen as immortal, immune people who cannot catch Covid 19.
We have taken the decision to only be open for essential eyecare (as we did last March/April/May). All our staff are currently on furlough, as we didn't want to put them, or our patients at unnecessary risk.
Graham is opening and closing both practices, and taking any phone calls for appointments etc.
Following vaccination of all staff this week, we are hoping to be able to open in a more normal manner mid-February.
In the meantime if you do require eyecare, and you do consider it to be essential please call ..
