How to stay motivated in 2026..

Okay so Jan is just about out of the way now, I don’t like to count it as a fresh start because i’m still finding my feet after Christmas, anyone else feel the same?

It’s also an awful, gloomy, dark weather month so that doesn’t help with maintaining your motivation… Soooooooo, here are some tips that you can start to implement into your lifestyle, to help to keep you motivated 🤨

1. Take it one day at a time.
2. Surround yourself with better people.
3. Focus your time on what you want.
4.Acknowledge your attributes and recognise your progress.
5. Reward yourself.

We’re in for a miserable week of weather 🌧️… You’d think we’d be used to it by now 🤦🏾‍♀️ But don’t let that bring you down!!

Just reminding you of a tip from the Spice Girls… “Smiling, dancing, everything is free, all you need is positivity”

It’s a mindset shift, there’s no reason to always look at things from a negative angle… Yes in life there are ups and downs, we cannot get away from that but how you approach the downs can impact your health and wellbeing if you just don’t sit in that state.

Look for a positive takeaway, these moments make you stronger 💪🏾

January is a lonnnnnng month after Christmas but we’re nearly through it… Pat on the back!!

If you’re not in the mood to add some spice this week hopefully my lively kitchen dance will bring a smile your way ☺️💜

It’s National Book a Holiday Day ✈️ (who knew this was an actual thing 🤷🏾‍♀️)

This is right up my street, a National Day i can get on board with 🎉… I’m on it, you don’t have to tell me twice 😂…!!

On a serious note it’s important to try and incorporate some kind of downtime into your year… For 2026 you may have big plans and new goals you want to achieve; your life currently might be go, go, go - i can totally relate to this…

BUT… In 2026 i will be stop, stop, stop on at least 3 occasions throughout the year 🙌🏾… Its important for maintaining my high energy and gives me time to process moments of low wellbeing if/when they occur.

Every Monday is a reset opportunity, and it sets the tone for your week.

Psychologically, it’s a good time to get that momentum going… All you have to do is take the first step 👣, Mondays are a good day to do that!!

I love a Monday, today I started strong and finished strong 💪🏾… One of my longest working days of the week, i teach 6 classes one after the other - keeps me on my toes but in a good way 🙌🏾

I had my yellow fits on today, trying to inject some light into a dark and gloomy day and it certainly worked - i hope my ☀️ sunshine energy was infectious today ☺️

Rule No1 - Never Skip Monday 💃🏾

Sold out 🚫 workshop today 🎉

A bit of a delayed start due to an unforeseen incident but the scenic route didn’t stop them!!

Dancers came in ready to TWIRL 🙌🏾

Those who are attending regularly i can see improvements, i love it!! With each workshop i’m working on developing fluidity with left-hand twirls, encouraging them to be more ambidextrous… It takes practice but once they nail it you will see the flow of their batons go up another level.

Dance technique is improving too 👏🏾👏🏾… I saw some lovely travelling step ball changes as well as some great legs in split leaps. I totally forgot to add our little ball change section into the routine 🤦🏾‍♀️🤣 (old brain - pin it for next time)

In my February workshop i’m going to introduce turns so that dancers can start to incorporate those skills into their toss turns…!!

Super impressed with the way every dancer tried today, full commitment to everything that was thrown at them.
