🎄❤️ As we head into the week before Christmas, we’re looking back on a truly heart-warming week here!

Last week, 15th Didcot Cubs spread festive joy with their beautiful handmade cards, a gorgeous wreath, and cheerful carols – such a thoughtful and sweet gesture 🎶💌

Friday’s Clarinet Quartet performance was an absolute treat 🎺✨ With a fantastic turnout from our residents and their families, we sang along, clapped – a truly joyful evening.

And not forgetting the lovely surprise visit from Didcot Town Council, who popped in to spread even more Christmas cheer with a gift of 2 bird boxes to put under the tree🎁

🎄❤️ The Nativity Performance yesterday morning was adorable with the little ones shining bright! 🎅 We rocked out to classic Xmas carols like "Little Donkey" and "Jingle Bells". We can’t wait to see our little friends in the New Year. 🎄🎅

A sad goodbye last Friday. Our amazing Activities Coordinator Riki found the second job of her dreams besides being with us, in the Pharmaceutical industry. Thank you for everything Riki and the best of luck in your new job, you truly will be missed ❤️

Well we didn’t let the rain dampen our spirits at Millet’s Farm this afternoon. Beautiful lights and lovely refreshments. The first of three trips. ❤️🎄

Huge thanks to a brand new local dance school who came to entertain us last night a long with the amazing . Starting off our month of Christmas celebrations. Mulled wine and Christmas cake was consumed and we sang and clapped and had a wonderful evening.
Thank you to all our colleagues without whom yesterday evenings event wouldn’t have been possible.

Exercise comes in all shapes and sizes. From our regular tried and tested weekly ball games, our Fortnightly Zumba with STU Fitness or a game of one to one table tennis. There are plenty of opportunities to keep ourselves active on our weekly activities planner.

Music is extremely important to us at Valerian Court. We love to celebrate our love of many genres. Yesterday Julia was back with more Musical Moments based on Elvis (a huge favourite of our residents), even the toy dog was a “hound dog”. And today, as well as practicing for our Christmas Carol performance we also put a play list together of our favourite songs so that we can listen to them whenever we want❤️

Huge thanks to everyone who came and supported our Christmas Fayre today. We managed to raise nearly £300 for our nominated Children’s Charity Make-A-Wish UK
Thank you to the stall holders, Hendred Ukulele Group - HUG, our many volunteers,our colleagues, our relatives for the huge amounts of tombola prizes. But most of all our residents who have sat for weeks making Xmas Cards, Jewellery, Xmas Decorations to sell and most of all the Xmas Cake which was won by one of our residents who guest the weight at 7lbs, the weight actually being 6lb 8oz.
