Poms Poms today, the memories it stirred, remembering making them with cardboard during the war. The cardboard and a hole! Not now, plastic and a semi circle. Is modern always best? Still a therapeutic way to spend your day, and worked well as a group and as a one and one! 😊❤️

A huge thank you to our visitors yesterday. PC Kaur and PCSO Saunders. Our staff, residents and relatives were keen to have more information around the dangers of on line scammers. It was an extremely interesting morning with a bit light at the end❤️. The residents made PC Kaur’s favourite cake to share before we got very dirty fingers having our finger prints taken!
Our second visit of the day was from our very own Stu. Our residents love his energy, enthusiasm and he always remembers everyone’s name! . Another highlight of our week!
On a more serious note the residents felt it was appropriate to have a moment to remember today, the 80th anniversary of VJ Day. A small quiz helped us reminisce. Many of us being war babies. Well done to everyone who took and some fabulous teamwork. 👏

Some lovely photos from the last few days. An introduction to Chair Ballet, our weekly ball games and tai chi keep us physically active, dominoes and poetry writing definitely gave our brain a work out! Plus a visit to our beautiful roof garden. The sun is shining inside and out!☀️☀️☀️

A few lovely photographs from the last few days.
Our new parachute therapy game was welcomed with smiles and laughter whilst we sang all the while trying desperately to keep the balls on the parachute. “Well”, exclaimed one of our lovely residents “you’ve got to have a laugh haven’t you”.
Smiles all round this week with our regular visit from our friend Julia from Musical Moments, a trip to Starbucks for a nice cup tea, a visit from our Sidney,and top this week off so far, an extremely busy knit and natter. 😀
