We’re opening our doors for a community celebration with live music, complimentary food and refreshments, and great company from 2:00pm–4:30pm on Saturday 9th May.

Whether you are looking for care for yourself or a loved one on a permanent or respite basis, or you’re simply curious to see what goes on behind our doors, we’d love to welcome you and show you around.

🇬🇧 You’re Invited: A Special VE Day Celebration

This May, we’re coming together to celebrate a truly special moment in history — VE Day, 81 years on.

At Oxford Manor, we’re hosting a warm and welcoming afternoon to capture the spirit of 1945, and we would love for you to join us.
Enjoy live music, laughter, and shared wartime memories, along with a delicious buffet. There will also be guided tours of our home, and if you fancy it, you’re very welcome to dress the part and fully embrace the occasion.

More than anything, this is a chance to bring people together — to share stories, connect across generations, and celebrate as a community.

It has been a beautiful Easter weekend here. We loved spending time with friends and family and enjoying the spring sunshine. 🌞

Residents got stuck in to decorating bunny and chick 🐥themed biscuits, Easter crafts and some fun games to get us moving. Thank you to the Easter bunnies 🐰 who hopped around delivering chocolate and other treats. It really feels like spring is in the air now! 🌸💐

We are looking forward to the Easter weekend here with live music, games, reflection and of course chocolate! -🎶🐰🍫

March and April also saw special days for other religions with Passover and Eid taking place.

A big thank you to carer Atiya and colleagues, for bringing a joyful Eid celebration to the home last week. Residents were touched by her kindness 💕and enjoyed learning more about the celebration. With beautiful clothes, Indian sweets and samosas, henna style hand painting and bangles it was truly a feast for the senses. It was lovely to see staff and residents getting their steps in with all the dancing too!

☘ Happy St. Patrick's Day
Residents and staff were treated to a fantastic Irish dance display from Viv O'Gara School of Dance yesterday. We are so proud of all the girls hard work and determination and will have our fingers crossed for those off them off to the World Championships this year. 🤞

More St Patrick's Day fun today as we got creative decorating shamrocks ☘ and making posters. A relaxing way to catch up with friends and share happy memories of visits to Ireland.

Wishing a very Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mums and mother figures we celebrate today. 🌸

Within Advinia Health Care, many of our residents are proud mothers and grandmothers whose lives are filled with remarkable memories, experiences, and wisdom. The stories they share and the perspectives they bring continue to enrich the atmosphere in our homes and strengthen the sense of community we value so deeply. It is truly a privilege to listen to their journeys and celebrate the lives they have lived.

Today we recognise and thank every mother for the love, strength, and care they give so selflessly. Wishing you all a day filled with appreciation, joy, and special moments with loved ones. 💖

We are looking forward to welcoming families visiting today for Mother's Day.💐 Please feel free to join us for an afternoon tea with your loved one from 3pm.

As usual it will be a busy week at Oxford Manor. In addition to our weekly activities we will also have our church service, therapy dog visit, Irish dancing display and relatives meeting.

Happy birthday to our lovely Judith today. We hope your day is filled with joy as you spend time with family and enjoy some tasty treats! 🎂

Lorraine had a busy day on her birthday yesterday with staff and residents coming together to celebrate. Between birthday cakes, presents 🎁and a family meal we even squeezed in a little retail therapy at a local garden centre.

We hope Lorraine liked her new memory box filled with items related to her life, including pictures of colleagues from Tesco where she worked for many years. She is looking forward to using all her craft gifts to decorate her room too.

Special thanks to volunteer Megan for visiting with beautiful flowers and a teddy. We are so touched she continues to visit Lorraine after originally coming to us as a Duke Of Edinburgh Award volunteer. A special day for an amazing lady.💕
