We frequently provide full architectural services by expanding the clients' brief and developing design proposals, obtaining statutory consents, preparing construction information, obtaining competitive tenders for the work and then administerting a suitable form of contract to completion and handover. With sustainability now widely recognised to be of increasing importance our philosophy is to provide design solutions which incorporate the use wherever possible of renewable energy and material resources as well as low energy technologies.

Is it wrong that we enjoy demolition nearly as much as the build? Making way for a stunning replacement home, retention of this cottage was not viable and planning permission was secured despite its isolated location in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

We are proud of this new home which replaced a 1960’s building which sat too low in the ground and was subject to regular flooding. The site is bounded by two rivers and the lake provides a stunning reflection.

Limestone paving brings a warmth and sunny feel - here we specified a level threshold to join indoors and outdoors seamlessly. Choosing the right laying pattern is also critical.

Work undertaken creating this extension to a Grade II listed building in Northamptonshire involved ironstone, oak lintels and plain clay roof tiles. Blue skies complete the picture.

Something different - not one of ours this time but quite close to a number of recent projects, this is Greys Court, a mainly Tudor-style house at Rotherfield Greys near Henley-on-Thames. Love the way the house has evolved over time.
