🥯 Chelsea bun baking 😋

Residents enjoyed an afternoon of baking. Taking it in turns mixing, rolling and cracking eggs. The result... Very delicious buns that disappeared quickly!

🎉 Join Us at the Didcot Community Care Fair 🎉

We’re proud to be hosting the Didcot Community Care Fair, brought to you by OSJCT, and the team from The Meadows will be there to welcome you.

This event has been organised to support the local community, bringing together a range of organisations who will be on hand to offer advice, guidance, and support on a variety of care-related topics.

Whether you’re looking for information for yourself or a loved one, or simply want to find out what’s available locally, come along for a friendly chat with our team and others across the sector.

We had a wonderful time celebrating St Patrick’s Day with some creative fun and a few tasty treats! 🍀

Our residents enjoyed making their own shamrock bunting, getting creative with colouring and collage. In the afternoon, we indulged in some delicious shamrock shortbread and baby Guinness', which went down a storm!

We had a wonderfully messy and fun morning in collaboration with Wild Oxfordshire! 🌿✨

We created mini tepees for battery-powered tealights, and the results were fantastic. They look beautiful in the daylight, and we’re sure they’ll look even more magical when they glow in the dark. 🕯️

🌼Resident's enjoyed Mothers Day themed activities this week! 🌷

We made a delicious carrot cake, created a large scale bouquet of flowers dedicated to some very special ladies & enjoyed reminiscing about our mother's & those dear to us.

Raffle tickets are £1 a strip & can be purchased at Reception up until the 2nd.

We enjoyed a lovely afternoon exploring our reminiscence boxes and 'books through the ages.'🔎

These special prompts sparked wonderful conversations as residents shared memories of their childhoods, favourite hobbies, and treasured holidays. It was a heart-warming time filled with stories, laughter, and a trip down memory lane.

A little of what we've been up to:

🥞 Residents loved creating their own pancakes on Shrove Tuesday
🍬 The sweet & alcohol trolley was a delightful treat on Friday afternoon
👩‍🍳We cooked up a storm for our coffee morning, making banana bread & chocolate chip shortbread

🦉Rhiannon from Wild Oxfordshire joined us once again with another creative activity!
Residents enjoyed making mini owls out of pine cones. She showed us her collection of books filled with different birds that we enjoyed looking through and identifying.
