Dr Clare Churchman works predominantly online to support clients based nationally and abroad. These sessions are available throughout the week.

Clare also holds in person sessions along with Simone Passeri at The Wellness Hub in Milton, South Oxfordshire on Tuesdays.

You can also find Simone at The Fitness Experts Harwell Science Park, Thomson Avenue Campus on Wednesdays and available online throughout the week.

Dr Clare Churchman is an HCPC dual registered Clinical Psychologist and Sports Psychologist. She has been working in the field of psychology for 20 years in both NHS and private practice, and she is a Chartered member and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society.

Simone Passeri is an MSc qualified Sports Therapist and a member of the UK Society for Sports Therapists. Simone also has a degree in Sports Science and has been working in the fitness industry for almost 20 years. Over this time Simone has worked with amateur, semi-professional, and professional athletes looking for rehabilitation and restoration of performance levels, and clients from all walks of life who are experiencing pain, discomfort and a loss of function.

Many technological advances and conveniences that have made our lives easier and less active, many personal variables, including physiological, behavioral, and psychological factors, may affect our plans to become more physically active.

In fact, the 10 most common reasons adults cite for not adopting more physically active lifestyles are (Sallis and Hovell, 1990; Sallis et al., 1992)

-Do not have enough time to exercise
-Find it inconvenient to exercise
-Lack self-motivation
-Do not find exercise enjoyable
-Find exercise boring
-Lack confidence in their ability to be physically active (low self-efficacy)
-Fear being injured or have been injured recently
-Lack self-management skills, such as the ability to set personal goals, monitor progress, or reward progress toward such goals
-Lack encouragement, support, or companionship from family and friends, and
-Do not have parks, sidewalks, bicycle trails, or safe and pleasant walking paths convenient to their homes or offices.
-Understanding common barriers to physical activity and creating strategies to overcome them may help you make physical activity part of your daily life.

Physical activity is anything that gets your body moving. It can include anything from walking to recreational sport.

Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate activity every week.
Ideally, you should try to do something every day, preferably in bouts of 10 minutes of activity or more.
One way of achieving 150 minutes of activity is to do 30 minutes on at least five days a week.
