PRESCRIPTIONS

Going away this summer? Local pharmacies and GP practices are facing significantly higher demand for prescriptions.

Please remember to order enough of your medication at least 2 weeks ahead of your holiday. Running out of regular medication where you’re unable to source more could cause serious side effects. Enjoy your holiday, and request your medication early!

You can request yours through your NHS app, via our website at https://www.didcothealthcentre.com/form-repeat-prescription, or by dropping your request into our postbox or in reception.

If you can't see it on your repeat list it may be because your GP needs to review your medication - this is a normal, regular check in case your dosage or treatment needs adjusting. If this is the case, please contact Reception to book a call. They will advise you if it's with one of our pharmacy team or if you need to speak to a GP.

A temporary issue with our phone system means calls are taking much longer than usual to be answered. Please be patient with our staff - we WILL get to you.

Thank you.

Get your repeat prescription requests in now!

If you are likely to need a prescription for more of your regular prescribed medications before the New Year please do it as soon as possible. Make sure you won't run out!

We're working through them as fast as we can, but there's always a last minute pre-Christmas rush that impacts us and your pharmacy, so please allow at least 10 WORKING DAYS.

Remember, we cannot accept requests by phone. There are three ways to request your repeat medications:
- Online, via your NHS app or Patient Access
- Via our website at www.didcothealthcentre.com/form-repeat-prescription
- Drop your paper request into our box in Reception or our postbox outside.

Merry Christmas!
