If you’ve just arrived here chances are you’re pregnant, a new parent, or just curious; congratulations on all three 🥰
My whole life people have told me that I have a relaxing voice and seem to keep my calm no matter what. After three decades I came to the conclusion that it’d be crazy to keep skills like these all to myself so I started teaching yoga, deep relaxation, confidence, and hypnobirthing.
Over time I realised that it was a real struggle for people to find the time to come to classes and when they did they had to rush so much afterwards that they were undoing all the good. It’s been a dream of mine to share what I have learnt through hundreds of hours of training in a way that’s affordable and sustainable for you. Feeling calm and relaxed isn’t a luxury; it’s essential to you and your baby’s wellbeing.
This year I gave birth to my own babies: the pre and postnatal member’s hub. In these online communities I share everything from hypnobirthing and birth ed to baby massage and facial yoga.
You’re getting ALL of me and my wisdom over a longer period of time instead of a glimpse of what I know in a short time.
Highland Birth and Beyond (home to the pre and postnatal hub) is designed so that the friends you meet in the community aren’t living in a different timezone or 10,000 miles away. You’re practically guaranteed a chum on the 3am feed and one for coffee and cake wherever you go. That said, I’m all about inclusion, so if you’re not living in the Highlands but would like to join us I’ll always say yes.
I recognise the huge benefits of being in the same room as other people: I’ve made the online hub affordable so that you can still easily afford to attend other face to face classes, and by next summer (post Covid-19) I’ve got big plans to invite you for a picnic in the garden, and who knows, perhaps I’ll take some classes on the road to wherever you are. I’m serious; invite me!
I’m happily married to a Yorkshire man, and have an amazing 10-year-old stepdaughter who currently goes by the name Tilsta (too cool for school). She tells me I’m her star-mum because I’m way too nice to be a wicked stepmum like in all the fairytales.
And just so you know - I’m a highly sensitive person which means I tune into people and situations quickly. It inspires me give you what you need and create brilliant content for your online communities.
I’m mostly introvert with a healthy dose of extrovert when the mood takes me. You’ll find me curled up with Goldie our kit-kat and a good book, wandering in the woods, or dancing in the kitchen; all of which inspire me to support you and your family in the best possible way.
Come say hi anytime. I’d love to hear your story.
Big love,
Sophia ###
