SAVE THE DATE! Booking is now open for the upcoming talk and Q&A with Professor Stephen Leslie.

This event is open to 'anyone' living with a long term condition within the Highlands, do get in touch if you have any questions, we'd love to hear from you.

“The History of Highland Hospitals project has been documenting and preserving the legacy of healthcare institutions across the Scottish Highlands since 2008. It reflects a rich tapestry of healthcare evolution, with over 60 institutions recognised, including fever hospitals, poorhouses, and maternity homes - many of which were previously forgotten or poorly documented – and highlighting their (often unexpected) origins, development and impact on the community”

Got an old mobility scooter or powered wheelchair gathering dust?

We know it’s not easy to get rid of bulky mobility equipment, especially in the Highlands and surrounding areas where there’s often no clear disposal route.

That’s why ILM Highland and City Mobility Inverness and Aberdeen launched a Mobility Equipment Disposal Service earlier this year. The service gives people a safe, supported way to say goodbye to scooters and powerchairs that are no longer needed while giving the individual parts a new lease of life!

How it works:

🚐 City Mobility will collect
🔧 ILM Highland will dismantle and recycle
♻️ You get peace of mind it’s being handled properly

The service is open to individuals, families and housing providers across City Mobility’s mainland dealership area, including parts of:

The Highland Council, Moray Council and areas served by Albyn Housing Society Ltd and Cairn Housing Association. Charges apply and include VAT.

👉 Contact City Mobility for enquiries: https://www.city-mobility.co.uk/equipment-disposal-service
