I'm Cathryn, your local Chiropractor in Disley, Cheshire East. I specialise in McTimoney Chiropractic techniques, which are gentle, quick, light, specific and very effective adjustments to the spine and joints (McTimoney is less big cracks to the spine, and more flicks and clicks when adjusting). The focus of McTimoney Chiropractic is to encourage whole-body alignment using a top-to-toe, holistic

approach. This ultimately aims to promote health and well-being by taking the body from a state of dis-ease (which can lead to disease) to a state of comfort and ease. Leading up to training as a chiropractor, I qualified and worked as a Massage Therapist, using techniques such as:
- sports massage
- deep tissue massage
- myofascial release
- hot stones
- pre- and post-event massage
- trigger point release
- adapted cancer and hospice care massage
- stretching techniques
- K-taping
- lymphatic drainage
- dry cupping
- pregnancy massage
- reiki. I am a keen hill walker, canoeist and mountain biker, while also being dedicated to strength training, mobility and yoga. I am also hugely in love with my greyhound, Chase, who you'll no doubt meet when you visit Motion Chiropractic.

Yes, it's 4 years exactly since I brought Chase home with me. It was his first time ever in a normal house and you can see how wary he was 🥹

A former racer (he's no.4 in the black bib), he's now a full time, self-appointed Therapy Hound.

He's certainly found his niche as he's the only sort of Therapist where it's okay for him to lay on the couch more than the patient!

Helping people heal their nervous systems throughout Disley and beyond, he's my right hand hound and an essential part of the team.

Hello and welcome to my page. I'm Cathryn. I'm a McTimoney chiropractor in Disley, Cheshire.

I've been a massage therapist for 9 years and a chiropractor for 2.5 years. I graduated from in 2023 having achieved the Principal's Prize (aka class valedictorian/top swot 🤓). Prior to that, I spent 15 years working with young people in the charitable sector.

I love to serve my community in and around Disley and the High Peak area. I want to support local people to be the healthiest they can be using gentle, low force, relaxing techniques that boost mobility, motivation and mood.

I particularly love working with families and treat people from the age of 2 up into their 90s+

You don't have to be in pain to see a chiropractor. Coming for wellness care is just as important.
