Maintaining optimal health, happiness and vitality is highly sought after by women who are 40 years plus. Many women, devote their lives nurturing and nourishing everybody else – but themselves. Raising my son was the most beautiful gift I could ever imagine. However, being in jobs that did not fulfil me, toxic relationships and a lifestyle that drained me, did take its toll on my health, happiness and self-esteem. I discovered that I was not alone in this. Yoga saved my life. Not only did it help me since my university days whilst I studied Psychology at the University of Toronto, it helped me come off anti-depressants altogether. Eventually it has helped me to help hundreds of others since I qualified as a Yoga teacher in 2009. I help people of all ages, backgrounds and gender attend my online yoga workshops. The type of students who are attracted to me in particular include those suffering from chronic health conditions, anxiety and depression, stress, sleep disorders, low self-esteem, little to no confidence as well as loneliness. The quality of yoga I teach is based on the ancient practices and principles I have learnt from my teacher and yoga guru, Yogacharya Venkatesh from Mysore, India. Our approach is to use yoga as a self-healing practice for the mind, body and the energy bodies. As a result of integrating yoga therapy and pranayama (science of breathing), my students experience an increase in energy and vitality, improvements in their nervous system, circulatory system, immune system and better emotional resilience.
