On Friday, Heidi was honoured to represent Rosedale Funeral Home at the official opening of the Citizens Advice Diss, Thetford and District and The Shelf Diss Community Food Hub new premises located on The Market Place in the heart of Diss. Their smart new digs are very fitting for all the wonderful work that they do and Rosedale Funeral Home are a proud Bestie of The Shelf Diss Community Food Hub.
Our very own Diss Town Mayor, Mr Declan Craggs, cut the ribbon officially opening the Citizens Advice Diss, Thetford and District and Hannah from Hey Girls (whose period products are available completely free of charge at The Shelf and the CABDT) cut the ribbon officially opening The Shelf Diss Community Food Hub.
The Shelf Diss Community Food Hub is a Social Supermarket and offers members a wide range of affordable groceries to help people eat well despite the increasing cost of food. By collectively working with food producers, suppliers and other charitable organisations they aim to provide household essentials at a reduced cost and also help redistribute items that might otherwise be wasted. They have the community at heart offering support, job opportunities and a warm welcoming space to come together, believing that quality food is a right, not a privilege.

The Shelf membership is £3.50 and is available to those living nearby who are impacted by the rising cost of living.
The Shelf opening times are:
Monday: 2-4pm
Thurs: 9.30-11.30am
Fri: 12.30-2.30pm
Congratulations and thank you Amy Griffiths, Bev Kembery and all at Citizens Advice Diss, Thetford and District and The Shelf Diss Community Food Hub.
