Every so often, from time to time something happens that helps us to see beyond what is in front of us.
A moment in time which initiates a change in the way we think or the way we feel.
Often we choose to externalise the cause or the catalyst to this turning point. . . . "It's the weather" or "it's a message from the universe".
Although these reasons may be plausible, the reason is much simpler . . . We change and nothing is static for long.
You see, it's impossible for anything in our universe to be still for very long, electrons, protons, planets.... Everything is active.
As much as we may desperately try to cling to a certain viewpoint, belief, ideal or lifestyle we all discover (eventually) that letting go of our grip, our desire to stay fixed and allow change to happen naturally avoids the self inflicted misery that occurs as a result of trying to remain stationationary.
Similarly our practice of Yoga runs parallel & co-supports this principle.
The movement of the body in Yoga is progressive, over time we develop, become stronger, more resilient ... Our bodies change, but so do our thoughts and our lives.
We may like to take a moment to remember how we were and how life was before we began our practice.
So, we need not have to wait, sitting in the dark for the universe to switch on the light.
Through our regular practice of Yoga we can look within and become the light to guide ourselves and I turn illuminate the world around us.
