Blue Heron Psychotherapy

Blue Heron Psychotherapy Online Integrative Psychotherapy. I have a keen interest in working creatively with dreams, metaphors and imagery as part of the process.

Theoretical background integrating psychodynamic, person centred and attachment theories with I initially trained as a counsellor in the late 80’s; working in private practice and for voluntary organisation with young people for almost 10 years. Then I primarily focused on a spiritual path; working with intuition and spiritual development using the tarot. I have recently further developed my psych

otherapy skills and I am offering psychotherapy again, this service does not include the use of the tarot, I offer that elsewhere (tarot-guidance.co.uk). In psychotherapy, I can help you walk your own unique path by walking alongside you and using my skills to help you discover more of yourself and make changes if you desire. I have a strong Jungian and analytic approach and incorporate attachment, Gestalt and TA theories in my therapeutic work. I adhere to the BACP ethical framework in my psychotherapeutic work. I am a clinical associate member of the West Midlands Institute of Psychotherapy (WMIP)

This statement regarding gender critical approaches (ie conversion therapy re-branded) in therapy I wholy agree with - though I tend to work more psychodynamically than person-centered myself, these principles are indeed my foundation. I am so pleased to see the person-centered association make this statement definitively! https://www.the-pca.org.uk/blog/a-person-centred-approach-is-antithetical-to-gender-critical-beliefs.html?fbclid=IwY2xjawMNGUVleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHta_0S9I9aE_-8v2JBOhF9BS8YDPcqF4A5YYAOA4G8Wgnp-Jr7RwtKk0TUz7_aem_0Il8WiG685Ev501Dc36XpA

Meaningful personal development takes time and effort. Why would psychotherapy be any different?

Re-post: Recently I have completed the Year long Jungian and post Jungian Clinical concepts course with Centre of Applied Jungian Studies A great course with some excellent speakers as tutors. Next years major CPD will be a 2 year infant observation course to enable me to understand infant development - particularly relationally - in depth. This will further deepen my ability to work with peoples' experiences in the first two years of life. I am really looking forward to the journey.
