🧦 Tomorrow is World Down Syndrome Day!🧦

Are your socks ready?

On 21 March, people all over the world will be wearing their boldest, brightest, most mismatched socks for the Lots Of Socks campaign.

But here is the fun part — when someone asks about your socks, you have the perfect opening to talk about something really important.

You could talk about loneliness. How too many people with Down syndrome feel left out, invisible, and disconnected. And how we can all do something about it.

Or you could simply say: today is World Down Syndrome Day. And I am wearing these socks because I stand with the Down syndrome community.

Get your socks ready. Get your message ready. And get ready to make some noise tomorrow. 💛

💛 By donating to or raising money for World Down Syndrome Day, you support the work of organisations like Down Syndrome International and our Network members, as we strive to create a more inclusive society for people with Down syndrome and intellectual disabilities worldwide. There’s a common misconception that counselling is only for people in crisis.

In reality, counselling can support anyone, from those navigating day to day stresses to people making sense of life transitions or improving relationships.

It’s about providing a safe space to explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences with a trained professional.
