Meet Sam, one of our incredible carers here at Bluebird Care Doncaster. 7 months in and already making a real difference.

Here's what she had to say...

My name is Sam, I have been working with Bluebird Care Doncaster for 7 months now.

I have always been a very caring person and decided it was time for a change in my career from 22 years in admin to care work. I settled in really quickly and I can actually say 'I Love my job'! The clients we see need us. They rely on us to meet their daily needs.

It gives me great satisfaction being able to take care of them and help them with their individual requirements to the best of my ability. I have built up some trusting relationships with clients.

I am patient, reliable and loyal and I will always maintain clients dignity and independence in their own home. I am adaptable to changing needs, situations and remain calm and positive for both myself and the client at all times.

I possess a strong resilience that allows me to maintain a positive outlook and I regularly adapt my care approach to meet the unique and changing needs of the clients i look after.

It helps to have a good understanding of the individuals we support. One client in particular i see a few times a week struggles sometimes with English language so i help her with pronunciation and improvement in understanding. But going that step further she is teaching me some phrases and words of her own language. This makes us bond even more and have a good laugh at the same time.

I am an enthusiastic individual who is passionate in her work and look forward to my future with Bluebird Care Doncaster.

Bluebird Care Doncaster is looking for an experienced Care Coordinator to join our team.

You'll work closely with our Registered Manager to oversee care delivery, manage rotas, supervise care staff, and make sure every client gets the high standard of care they deserve.

Part-time or full-time available.

What we're looking for:

✔️ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
✔️ 2+ years in domiciliary care coordination or a similar role
✔️ Strong rota management and staff supervision experience
✔️ Knowledge of CQC regulations
✔️ Full UK driving licence

Our clients were out in Doncaster this morning for the Sing-A-Long Dementia Friendly screening of The Greatest Showman at Cast Doncaster.

Our registered manager Charlotte, admin lead Claire, and care expert Sam joined some of our clients for a relaxed morning out complete with singing, smiles, and a well-earned cuppa at the interval.

Events like this are designed with dementia in mind, reduced lighting, a friendly atmosphere, and no pressure. Perfect for our clients to enjoy a proper day out with full support around them.
