PATIENT WARNING - PLEASE SHARE

Patients are being warned to beware of scam callers claiming to be from their GP surgery asking for bank details.

Following a report of one such recently attempted scam, GPs in Doncaster are assuring patients that they would never call using a recorded message and would never ask for bank details.

You should hang up the phone immediately if you recieve this type of call.

Hello

We are mindful about some call issues.

It’s not a problem with the Park view surgery phone lines.

Apparently It’s O2 and EE network that is down.

So anybody ringing the practice from an O2 or EE mobile won’t be able to get through.

But if you can ring from a land line or another mobile network it should work.

So sorry for the inconvenience.

Due to the fire today we have taken the decision to close the surgery for the rest of the afternoon . This was not a decision made lightly and it was taken to protect both staff and patients from potential harm and smoke inhalation . Hopefully the surgery will open as usual tomorrow morning unless instructed otherwise by the fire brigade . Anyone with an urgent health condition that can not wait until tomorrow morning please ring 111 or the same day health centre .

Did you know that your medication could make you more vulnerable to the heat? Certain medications affect sweating and temperature control, so during these long and sweltering days it's incredibly important that you take the necessary precautions:

🌞 Drink plenty of fluids and avoid excess alcohol - water, lower-fat milks and tea and coffee are good options.

🌞 Plan ahead to make sure you have enough supplies, such as food, water, sun protection and any medications you need.

🌞 Identify the coolest room in the house so you know where to go to keep cool.

🌞 Wear loose, cool clothing, and a hat and sunglasses if you go outdoors.

🌞 If you are vulnerable to the effects of heat, avoid the sun during the hottest part of the day (11am - 3pm).
