We took arm chair travel to Mexico outside today in the sunshine! ☀️
Appealing to all the senses we enjoyed listening to Mariachi Band music whilst trying tortillas and guacamole ❤️🤍💚 🪇🪕
To keep hydrated in the heat we had some refreshing Agua Fresca (fruit water) with lemons, cucumbers and watermelon 🍋🍉

A super afternoon filled with fun and laughter in the garden sunshine today. Residents enjoyed a variety of crazy games that encouraged gentle stretching, movement, balance, and coordination, while also creating plenty of opportunities for chatting, socialising, and shared laughter.

The afternoon supported both physical wellbeing and positive mental health, with everyone enjoying the fresh air, exercise, and happy atmosphere together. Smiles all around and lots of wonderful memories made in the sunshine!

What a lively and fun-filled afternoon in the garden! Residents got fully involved in a fantastic game of volleyball, with plenty of laughter, smiles, and friendly competition throughout. It was wonderful to see everyone so engaged and enjoying themselves in the sunshine. To top off the afternoon, everyone cooled down with a delicious ice cream 🍨 — the perfect treat after such an energetic afternoon!

A peaceful morning was spent sketching a beautiful still life vase of flowers, with residents enjoying the calm atmosphere and warm sunshine. Afterwards, some residents enjoyed a lovely alfresco lunch together, making the most of the beautiful day.

The Forget-Me-Not flower is the official symbol for Dementia Action Week, representing remembrance, resilience, and individual stories. Today we made a Forget-Me -Not painting display to raise awareness, honor those living with dementia, and show support for the Alzheimer's Society's ongoing campaigns 💙🪻🦋🎨
