New Year New You…. Really?

Let’s not be jumping on any band wagons this year and instead think about the new year a little differently.

Instead of feeling like you ‘have’ to do X or ‘should’ do Y.

Why not think about
✨what you liked about 2023?
✨what did you achieve, no matter how small?
✨what brought you joy and how you can do more of that in the new year?
✨what do you want to leave in 2023 because it didn’t serve you?
✨what do you want 2024 to look like and how do you want it to feel?
✨think about prioritising your wellbeing; physically, mentally, emotionally and energetically
✨how can you do this? Move your body more, journal, doodle, talk and connect to others, write, reflect, rest and recover.

If you want to get some help on going through these, book a FREE call with me and I’ll help you get started.

Alternatively you can access the free resources I have that help you get organised particularly in a morning, how to start your journal journey and also trackers for you keeping track of your achievements and success in your health.

Have a great New Year everyone

Don’t forget this page will be used less soon and I’ll only be posting from Bree Fox Coaching moving forward so I can bring you all the support and help in one place 🤍

When it comes to achieving that coveted glow, it's not just about what you put on your skin but what you put inside your body.

Protein, often hailed as the body's building blocks, plays a starring role in maintaining the health and vibrancy of your skin and hair.

Your skin is your body's largest organ, and it requires a variety of nutrients to stay healthy and vibrant. Protein, composed of amino acids, serves as the foundation for the tissues that make up your skin. Collagen, elastin, and keratin – essential proteins for skin structure and elasticity – depend on a steady supply of amino acids to keep your skin firm, supple, and youthful.

Now, let's talk about those luscious locks. Hair is made up of a protein called keratin, and its health is directly influenced by your protein intake. Including protein-rich sources like fish, nuts, and seeds in your diet provides your body with the necessary amino acids to support the growth, strength, and overall health of your hair.

Fish, such as salmon, is not only a fantastic source of protein but also rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which contribute to a healthy scalp and shiny hair. Nuts, like almonds and walnuts, bring not only protein but also vitamins and minerals that promote hair health. Seeds, such as chia seeds and flaxseeds, add a dose of omega-3s and antioxidants, supporting the nourishment of your skin and hair.

By incorporating these protein-rich foods into your meals, you're providing your body with the essential building blocks it needs to repair and regenerate skin cells, maintain elasticity, and promote the health and vitality of your hair. Remember, the beauty regimen doesn't stop at skincare products – it starts with what you feed your body.

So, the next time you're planning your meals, consider making fish, nuts, and seeds a regular part of your diet. Let your radiant skin and luscious locks be a testament to the nourishing power of protein from within. Glow on, beautiful! ✨

For many women, navigating the ups and downs of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) can be a monthly challenge. However, the solution might be found in your diet, particularly in the inclusion of protein-rich foods. Let's explore how protein can be your ally in bidding farewell to those troublesome PMS symptoms.

When we talk about PMS, mood swings and cravings often take center stage. That's where the magic of protein steps in. Foods like chickpeas, turkey, and quinoa are not only rich in protein but also contain amino acids that play a crucial role in the production of serotonin, often referred to as the "feel-good" neurotransmitter.

Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that helps regulate mood, and its levels can fluctuate during the menstrual cycle. By incorporating protein-rich foods into your diet, you provide your body with the amino acids it needs to produce serotonin in optimal amounts. This can contribute to stabilizing mood swings, promoting a more balanced emotional state during the challenging PMS phase.

But that's not all – protein can also help tackle the notorious chocolate cravings that many women experience during PMS. While reaching for a chocolate bar might seem like an instinctive response, incorporating protein-rich alternatives can be a healthier and equally satisfying option. For example, consider snacking on a handful of chickpeas or opting for a turkey and quinoa salad. These protein-packed choices not only provide a sense of fullness but also contribute to a more stable blood sugar level, potentially reducing the intensity of chocolate cravings.

It's important to note that individual responses to dietary changes can vary, but many women have reported positive effects on their PMS symptoms by including a balanced amount of protein in their meals. So, the next time PMS symptoms make an appearance, consider turning to protein-rich foods to support your body and mind during this natural phase of the menstrual cycle. Your mood might just thank you! 🌸
