The NHS recommends flu vaccination for many groups to help protect against serious illness.

From 1st September 2025
✅ Pregnant patients
✅ Children ages 2-3 years (on 31st August 2025)
✅ Children with certain long term health conditions (aged 6 months to under 18)

From 1st October 2025
✅ Everyone aged 65 and over
✅ Adults aged 18-64 with certain long-term health conditions
✅ Care home residents
✅Carers (including those in receipt of carers allowance or main carers for elderly/disabled people)
✅ Frontline health and social care workers

‼️ Did Not Attends ‼️

This week we have so far had the following:

20 GP appointments that is 200 minutes of wasted GP time ☹️

26 Nursing team appointments 260 minutes of the teams time ☹️

It is very concerning that this amount of DNA’s is happening when at the surgery we are offering both face to face and telephone appointments for the patients convience, many of these appointments are only booked a week before and all receive reminders about these appointments.

What a great start to the Covid & Flu vaccination season 💉💉💉

This weekend we have seen 1361 patients come through the doors 👏🏻👏🏻

We got off to a slow start on Saturday whilst we settled into our new location but we soon found our feet and got our rhythm back.

Thank you to all patients and staff for bearing with us through these recent changes, it’s appreciated.

Are you aware of the new immunisation schedule for your little ones? 💉

All babies (whether they were born before or after July 2024) will continue to be offered immunisations at 8,12 and 16 weeks old. For the remaining vaccinations, these changes are now in place:

- If they were born before 1st July 2024, they will continue to be offered at 1 year, 2 years and 3 years 4 months.
- If your baby was born on or after 1st July 2024, they will be offered immunisations when they turn 1 year, 18 months old, 2 years and 3 years 4 months.
