What is Perinatal Mental Health?
Perinatal mental health problems are those which occur during pregnancy or in the first year following the birth of a child. Perinatal mental illness affects up to 1 in 4 women and covers a wide range of conditions. Recently, you may have seen Kerry, our Engagement Worker dropping in to the Family Hubs, First Friends sessions across the borough. This is to raise awareness of what problems could occur and what support is available.
If you see Kerry, please say hello or share any concerns that you may have.
