Last week in the baby room, we took part in Epilepsy Awareness Week. The children came dressed in purple, helping to raise awareness in a fun and meaningful way. Throughout the week, the babies explored a variety of sensory activities, including playing with purple gloop, engaging with purple-themed toys, and enjoying purple-coloured rice alongside flowers. These activities encouraged curiosity, creativity, and sensory development. The children had lots of fun exploring different textures and colours in a calm and engaging environment.

This week, we are looking forward to celebrating Easter. We have planned a range of egg-citing Easter themed activities and crafts for the children to enjoy, helping to support their creativity and early learning through play.

What a busy couple of weeks the Lilypad children have had!

We had lots of red activities for Comic Relief and loved seeing all your red outfits! Thank you all so much for your kind donations.

With the nice weather we have been exploring a lot more outside, sorry again about the soggy coats and extra washing we've caused.

All the children have a love for animals so we did some animal rescue as they had all been stuck down, this was a great activity for those fine motor skills and perseverance.

It was also St Patrick's Day so we painted some lucky shamrocks to decorate with, hopefully they bring us some luck and more nice weather.

This week we had purple day to raise awareness of epilepsy, we had purple water, made purple flower pictures and a purple touch tray!

Next week we will be doing some Easter crafts ready for a visit from Easter bunny! We will saying hello to some new friends and goodbye to some old friends as they go on adventures to Dragonfly Den.

We’re very excited to see work begin on our garden and can’t wait for it to be finished so we can get outside even more!

We’ve had such an amazing week, last week in Tiny Tadpoles! 🌟

The children have been busy exploring and having lots of fun in the sand, using buckets and spades while dreaming of that warmer weather staying a little longer. Our tuff tray activities have been a big hit too, especially as we’ve been learning all about animals and practicing the sounds they make—there have been some fantastic roars and oinks! 🐷🦁

We were also lucky enough to enjoy some time outdoors when the sun decided to join us. The children loved splashing in the water, riding the bikes -it’s been lovely to see so much energy and excitement! ☀️💦

What a fun-filled week it’s been—we can’t wait for more adventures this week 😀

Last week in Fidgety Frogs, we had a fantastic time celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with lots of fun, hands-on activities!

The children explored their creativity in celebrating St Patrick’s day, through doing some bubble shamrock painting, using bubbly textured paint to make beautiful green shamrocks. We also went on an exciting hunt in the garden, collecting hidden numbered gold coins, which helped support the children’s number recognition skills in a fun and engaging way, the children had to say the number they had then to add to the magic they got to send their coin down a rainbow we had painted together and it landed in a pot of gold at the end. This encouraged lots of imaginative play and storytelling.

We made the most of the lovely weather this week too by spending time playing in the garden and even enjoyed our snacks outside in the sunshine—just like a picnic!

We also marked Red Nose Day with red-themed activities, including red painting and playing with red playdough, which the children thoroughly enjoyed.

It was a joyful week full of creativity, learning, and outdoor fun. We’re so proud of all the children and their enthusiasm!

We look forward to another exciting week ahead this week!

Last week in Tiny Tadpole's it was full of lovely moments and creativity 💛

The babies enjoyed making a special craft for Mother’s Day, putting lots of care into something just for their mummies. We also had a wonderful Stay and Play session where children and parents took part in fun bee-themed activities and explored sensory play with rice together with their loved ones. 🐝

The little ones got busy in the kitchen too, decorating biscuits with coloured icing for their someone special — they were very proud of their creations!

Throughout the week, there was lots of imaginative play with dinosaurs and cars, with the babies exploring, sharing, and having lots of fun together 🦖🚗
It was a week full of smiles, creativity, and special moments.

What a fun week we had in Lilypads! We made some beautiful art work to take home for Sunday. We made the most of the sunshine and had lots of fun outside splashing in the water and sliding down the slide, we can’t wait to get our own garden soon. (Watch this space). We also had lots of messy fun in the gloop watching it change colour and then trying to pick it up before it dripped off our hands.

What a very busy week in Dragonfly's Den and Fidgety frogs🐸 last week!

In the Dragonfly's den the children really enjoyed making Mother’s Day crafts that we sent home so we hope all of our special people enjoyed them at the weekend🥰. We enjoyed having our mother's day stay and play on Thursday with lots of different activity stations and lots of yummy food. The jam and cream scones were the best, they were delicious! We also had lots of fun being blown away in the wind 💨 in the garden. The children enjoyed dressing up as princesses and wolves to scare the grown ups in the room too🫅👸

In Fidgety Frogs we were focusing on the letter 'd' and the number 4 this week. The children loved counting and singing the song 1,2,3,4,5 once I caught a fish alive. They also enjoyed shouting out all the words being with d - dog 🐶, donut 🍩, dancing 💃.

We enjoyed exploring the tuff tray. Exploring the different flowers and making explosions using bicarbonate of soda and vinegar it was enjoyed by all.

We had some brilliant weather for the garden. We made a start on weeding the planter, so we can plant some colourful fruit and vegetables 🍓 over the next few weeks....watch this space!

This week is comic relief we will be learning lots about the colour red and raising some money for the very worthy cause. 🔴

Nursery Frog Travels....

Theodore's Sleepover with Harry March 2026😴
Harry was very excited to look after the nursery frog🐸 for his birthday weekend. Harry helped change him into his pyjamas and they shared Harrys bed every night!
Saturday was Harrys 3rd Birthday party 🎉at uproar play barn in the wildlife park so of course Theodore had to join in the fun. Harry and some of his nursery friends had lots of fun chasing each other up and down all the obstacles and going down the slides. They enjoyed lots of yummy food together in the restaurant at the end and we all sung happy birthday.🍕
After the party was finished, dinosaur mad Harry wanted to see the dinosaurs🦖 in the park so off we went, however this turned into seeing the sealions then the wolf and then the cheetah’s and in the end we ended up walking around the first half of the park. We were soooo tired! Theodore loved the dinosaurs.
Over the weekend we visited lots of family then on Monday we went to Harrys usual Musicbugs class. Theodore enjoyed the instruments🪇 and enjoyed singing, dancing and dressing up. His friends there also sang happy birthday again. Harry thought it was great getting another happy birthday sung to him. After this we went to Gulliver’s Valley to play in the play area. Harry met a guinea pig, ponies and an owl then he got to feed some reindeer.
Harry and Theodore have had a very busy weekend playing with all the new toys. Harry wishes it could be his birthday everyday just so he can get presents😂
