Highfield is aware that one of our approved training providers, Itec North East Ltd (34427), has gone into liquidation. We would therefore like to reach out to any remaining learners from the centre enrolled on a course leading to a Highfield qualification that have not yet been in contact with us.

As Christmas is almost upon us, we’d like to confirm that the Highfield offices will be temporarily closing to allow our team to celebrate the holiday with their friends and loved ones.

We can, therefore, confirm that the Highfield offices in the UK will close at 5.30pm on Monday 22 December 2025, and will reopen at 8.30am on Friday 2 January 2026.

The final end-point assessments will also be taking place on Monday 22 December, and will resume again on Friday 2 January 2026. Please note that the seven working day result service level agreement (SLA) will recommence from Friday 2 January when our offices reopen.

Should you have an urgent enquiry during the Christmas period, which needs urgent attention before the offices reopen, we would ask that you kindly email your enquiry to info@highfield.co.uk. A Highfield customer service representative will be on call to respond to any such enquiries between Monday 29 December 2025 and Tuesday 30 December 2025. However, please be aware that our phone lines will not be open during this time.

As announced by FE Week on 4 December 2025, the training provider Acacia Training Ltd (Highfield Centre Number 15144) has closed. We would therefore like to urgently reach out to any learners from the centre, enrolled on a course leading to a Highfield qualification, so that we can discuss with them the next steps they should take.

With the Crime and Policing Bill 2024–25 introducing a specific criminal offence of spiking, expectations across the night-time economy are rising fast, and staff need to know how to spot the signs and respond correctly. The registered charity Stamp Out Spiking has developed a Spiking Awareness course, available through Highfield Online Training.

In around an hour, it covers how to recognise and manage suspected incidents, safeguarding and extra resources, with an instant digital certificate to evidence due diligence. It also supports the learning outcomes for the SIA Door Supervisor and Door Supervisor Refresher spiking training requirements, helping to reduce mandatory classroom hours.
