The property has been sympathetically converted to provide an excellent standard of person centred care in a home from home setting for our clients. Parklands is convenient for the M18 Motorway, easily accessible by public transport and is only a five minute walk from the town centre of Thorne and all of its amenities, including shops, supermarkets, doctors surgeries and much more. We not only offer long term residential and dementia care but also day care and a respite care service. This tastefully decorated home provides TV lounges and a quiet sitting room in which to relax, most of which overlook the gardens and picturesque park. Meals are taken in the separate dining rooms, where residents can enjoy traditional home cooked cuisine using fresh produce. Daily menu choices are available and special diets can be catered for. The Parklands has attractive gardens and a decking area overlooking the park. There is also a large car park. The home has a hair salon and is visited by an experienced hair stylist as well as a qualified chiropodist. Complementary therapies are also available by arrangement. A varied programme of activities also takes place in the home, ranging from one to one and group activities to regular outings and frequent fundraising events throughout the year.
