🌸 Bennfield House Mother’s Day Party 🌸

Today we celebrated all the wonderful mothers and ladies here at Bennfield House with a lovely Mother’s Day afternoon. The dining room was beautifully decorated and everyone enjoyed a fantastic spread of sweet treats, sandwiches, cakes and plenty of cups of tea together.

A big shout out to Maggie and all the team working today for making the day so special for our residents. Your kindness, care and effort never go unnoticed and you helped create a truly lovely atmosphere for our ladies.

🌸 Happy Mother’s Day from Bennfield House 🌸

Today we celebrate all the wonderful mothers, grandmothers, great grandmothers and mother figures who mean so much to us.

From all of our amazing residents, wonderful staff and the whole Bennfield House family, we would like to wish all the incredible mums out there along with their families and friends a very Happy Mother’s Day.

Thank you for the love, strength, kindness and wisdom you bring into the world every day. Today we celebrate you. 💐💖

We promise this isn’t how long it took us to realise how amazing Lauren is… just how long it took admin to catch up 😉👏

A huge congratulations to Lauren, our Employee of the Month for January 2026! Lauren has been absolutely amazing, consistently going above and beyond for our residents, supporting her colleagues and always bringing a positive, caring attitude to every shift.

Your hard work, dedication and compassion do not go unnoticed, and we’re so proud to have you as part of the Bennfield House team 💚 Well deserved, Lauren!

Another proud moment for Bennfield House yesterday as our Matron and Donna, our Registered Nurse Associate, were invited to speak at the apprenticeship event about career progression in social care and how far opportunities have come 🌟

Matron took everyone on a journey right back to the very start of Bennfield House in 1984, explaining how limited opportunities once were within private social care and how progression was rare at the time.

She then spoke proudly about how Bennfield House now works closely with universities and training providers, welcoming student nurses and healthcare professionals into the home giving them real hands on experience within social care and creating opportunities when students are on alternative placements.

Matron also highlighted the exciting ACP pilot currently taking place at Bennfield House, showing just how far the sector has evolved and how apprentices like Shannon and Lily-Rose could one day progress into advanced clinical roles, opportunities that simply didn’t exist years ago.

Donna then shared her own inspiring journey becoming the first Registered Nurse Associate to qualify within a social care setting across South Yorkshire & Humberside 🙌

From being a stay at home mum for 10 years raising her four children, to joining Bennfield House in 2017 on twilight shifts… quickly becoming a night supervisor… starting the Trainee Nursing Associate course… qualifying… working three years as a Registered Nurse Associate… completing her first revalidation… and now beginning her top up course to become a Registered Mental Health Nurse all through the apprenticeship route.

She spoke proudly about how Shannon is now following in her footsteps by starting her own apprenticeship and how Lily-Rose Matrons grandaughter, inspired by Shannon’s achievements, has now begun her journey too, showing how new generations are coming through and thriving within social care.

From limited opportunities in the 1980s… to endless possibilities today. From first steps into care… to registered professionals and beyond.

This is what investing in people looks like.
This is what growing our own talent looks like.
This is the future of social care and we couldn’t be prouder 💚👏

Here goes… We are so incredibly proud, we were honoured to win two amazing awards at the apprenticeship event! 🌟

🏆 First Award – Outstanding Apprentice Shannon
This was awarded to our wonderful Shannon, who has shown phenomenal progress throughout her apprenticeship and is now in the final stages of completing it.

When we nominated Shannon, we asked our team, residents, friends and family to share testimonials about her and the response was overwhelming. So many beautiful, heartfelt words came in about her passion, dedication, work ethic and the genuine care she shows to our residents and their families every single day. It was incredibly emotional and truly showed the difference she makes at Bennfield House.

🏆 Second Award – Outstanding Apprentice Employer
We were also absolutely thrilled to receive the Outstanding Apprentice Employer Award, which reflects exactly what we stand for! developing our team, supporting growth and creating opportunities in care.

Both awards were presented by Doncaster Council Phil Holmes Executive Director of Adults, Wellbeing and Culture.

A huge thank you for putting on such a fantastic event celebrating care and apprenticeships.

We couldn’t be prouder of everyone this is all about our team and the amazing care they give every day. 💚

We’re looking for a Cook to join our friendly team at Bennfield House.

The role includes:
🥘 Preparing nutritious, well-balanced meals
🧼 Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety
❤️ Cooking with care for our residents’ needs and preferences

We’re looking for someone who:
✔️ Has experience as a cook (care setting experience is a bonus, not essential)
✔️ Is reliable, organised, and passionate about food
✔️ Enjoys being part of a supportive team

📅 Hours: 30 hours per week
💷 Pay: competitive pay, dependant on experience
