The next tip I'm following from 🤗Dr Rangan’s Tips for a Happier 2026

☺️Build happiness with alignment, contentment and control 😊

Rather than seeing happiness as something that just happens, Dr Chatterjee describes it as a skill we can all practise.

He breaks it down into three ingredients:
alignment (living in a way that reflects who you really are),
contentment (regular moments of calm and peace),
and control (focusing on what you can influence, not the chaos you can’t).

When these three are in balance, happiness becomes much more sustainable — even when life is busy or stressful.

📱Treat your phone like a person

Before we even put our feet on the floor in the morning, many of us have already clocked up a handful of ‘micro-stress doses’
- snoozed alarms, emails, news alerts, social media, and messages all competing for attention.

Dr Chatterjee explains that these tiny stresses add up fast and push us closer to overload before the day has even begun.

His simple fix? Create boundaries with your phone like you would a person. Try keeping your phone out of reach for the first 15–20 minutes each morning or out of the bedroom overnight.

That one small boundary can dramatically lower stress and help you start the day feeling calmer and more in control.💖

I hope you're all well and had some time to rest when possible.

If you've decided that you need to listen to yourself this year, giving yourself some time to yourself, time to recharge, time to just be...then I really hope that you manage this.

It's not selfish, it's not a treat, it's a necessity. When you do start to shift your way of thinking, you'll notice that you feel so much better and in control.

So start to think of those little things that will make you feel good!

Hoping that your first few days of the new year are going well. I'm starting to get back into the routine again, ready for school starting on Monday and everything going back to full swing.

If you're anything like me, you'll probably be looking forward to having a bit of time to yourself, whether that's your commute, when everyone is at work or school or getting out and taking the dog for a walk.

Maybe you need to schedule yourself some time out to make sure you get some.

Good morning,

Hope you have had a lovely few days ✨

I know I've spoken with many of you about my opening times changing.

I'm excited to share that I'll now be opening for the latter half of the week; Weds-Sat.

I know I've had many enquiries for Thursday and Friday so am switching my week around!

It was a pleasure being part of this, so pleased with the amount raised. Thank you to everyone for supporting 💖

A trio of complementary therapists from Appleton Therapies, Soula Wellness and Relax and Rebalance, held a relaxing morning of rejuvenation taster sessions for local Gringley on the Hill residents. The event, which included a coffee morning raised £406 for a local Doncaster hospice.

Organised by Katherine Round, Sophie McKeown, and Laura Dunwoody, the event took place on Friday 12 December at the Appleton Therapies Wellness Centre. The calming and welcoming space provided the perfect setting for guests to relax ahead of the busy festive period. Attendees could choose from a range of therapies to try including reiki, reflexology, hand and arm massage, and Belief Code.

Following the taster sessions, attendees enjoyed a coffee morning with a selection of homemade cakes, providing a relaxed and sociable close to the event.

Hospice Fundraising Manager Jenny Baynham said: “We are incredibly grateful to Appleton Therapies, Soula Wellness, and Relax and Rebalance, as well as everyone who attended and donated. Raising £406 will make a real difference to our patients and their families.”
