A very important afternoon at Dunniwood Lodge. 🍫

Our residents had so much fun chocolate tasting, matching the wrappers to the taste. For residents living with dementia, chocolate tasting engages taste, smell, touch, sight and the sound of chocolate snapping.

We learnt we have some chocolate connoisseurs living with us. Definitely an activity we'll be doing again!

We invited Philip's daughter along for the ride and they had a lovely afternoon spending quality time together away from the home.

It's been wonderful to hear our resident's Easter memories this week. We love listening to their stories and learning more about each person.

Tomorrow, we're hosting our Easter party so there'll be plenty of new stories to add to the collection. 🐣

Our residents loved every minute of our planting session this week. 🌻

They made cress faces, sunflower seeds were planted and there was a lot of debate about whose was going to grow the tallest. We'll be watching these little ones grow over the coming weeks.

Laura tried her best to warn Derek about her excellent bowling skills, but as it turns out, he was even better! His skills of spinning the ball and a strike cemented the win.
