First day of school for my daughter and and first neurofeedback session with my client! 🧠🫶

My client: 70y+ (I adore my group of senior clients!)

Target: improving memory

1st neurofeedback session involves:

1.Interview and training description
2. Interview to understand the client's training needs
3. Introductory session
4. Test and report

Now my task is to analyze and interpret the test and create a training plan for the first 15 sessions!

There were conversations, laughter, and interesting insights into the power of the brain: how to care for your brain to live healthier, happier, and longer, as well as non-invasive neurobiofeedback therapy that increases brain potential.

There was also a presentation of training sessions and training games. It's not only enjoyable and relaxing, but also incredibly beneficial for your brain!

DID YOU KNOW THAT?

Study results confirm what we already know: the negative impact of lack of sleep on emotions, coping with stressful situations, and decision-making.

The results of an experiment in which participants were shown neutral and negative images and had their brains scanned showed that sleep-deprived individuals had as much as 60% greater activity in the amygdala—the area of the brain that processes emotions—especially in the case of unpleasant images, which resembled images associated with mental disorders.

The power of communication...

I've always believed that interpersonal communication is a powerful tool for personal improvement. We use it every day in our families and at work, and lack of effective communication quickly surfaces as misunderstandings, dissatisfaction, lack of self-control, and so-called mistakes, leading to arguments, and accusing each other.

When communicating with others, it's important to remember that each of us is very individual, with our own baggage of experiences, personal characteristics, principles, and goals in life. Therefore, we can't compare ourselves or expect anyone to understand us straight away, because we often have different values as individuals from different cultures, backgrounds, and families. Sometimes it takes more time, a longer conversation, to understand each other and create something coherent and harmonious together. 🫶

One of the fundamental characteristics of effective communication is mindful listening.
It involves fully engaging in the process of hearing and understanding the other person's words, thoughts, and emotions. Active listening is not limited to just hearing sounds but also includes focusing attention, showing empathy, and responding appropriately to the other person's communication.

Can you stop for a moment? Put down your phone? Turn off the movie? Take a moment to listen and understand? Switch off judgment? Understand another perspective?

The benefits of active listening are countless...
✅️ building strong and healthy interpersonal relationships based on mutual trust and understanding.

You live most of your life inside your head. Make sure it’s a nice place to be.

Sounds great but why it's so difficult?

Your thoughts determine your feelings. So what if you change your thoughts for more positive?

What if you stop your reactions to “just happen" and let them go another way?

Automatic thoughts can be frustrating — but stop a cycle to get angry with them again and again.

Why? What if you realise that your thoughts are part of you, being actually you? Getting angry with the thoughts won’t make them go away. And if they stay, they won't help you either. So what if you get along with them and try to challenge them to be nicer to everybody in there...and life gets a lot easier.

Your brain is like an overly worried parent that wants to protect you from pain. So thank your thoughts and calmly go through the rewiring process.
