As the year draws to an end, one that some may be grateful to see the end of, I would like to thank all the families that I have had the pleasure to have worked with during some of their hardest days. Thank you for trusting me and for allowing me to be the one to care for your loved ones as they prepared for their final journey. I have felt proud and very honoured as I have said goodbye, paying my final mark of respect, seeing each hearse leave and work its way up Nethergate.

For those of you that came to our Christmas Memorial Service, I hope you were able to reflect on your memories with love in your heart and a smile on your lips, even if you did have a tear in your eye.

I myself will be starting the New Year in a new location so today I say farewell to Westwoodside. I have made some special friends here and will be back to visit.

Thank you again Westwoodside and everyone I have met from surrounding villages.

I hope you all have a wonderful Nee Year and 2026 is kind.

Santa was out last night, checking his naughty and nice list. We all have a wish that we know Santa can’t help with, but we also have memories no one can take away.

Yesterday evening we held our Memorial Service at St Nicholas Church Haxey. I would like to say thank you to everyone that attended. Here are a selection of the photos taken.
