Cryolipolysis (fat freezing) chills the fat in the target area down to -10 degrees. When the fat cells are exposed to this cooling they undergo crystallisation and localised cell death.

20-40% of fat cells die in the area from just one treatment and dissolve over a course of weeks. Results are usually seen in 6-12 weeks but this can be accelerated when combining the treatment with Shockwave therapy.

Fat freezing gives good results because it breaks fat cells down in two stages: in the first stage parts of the fat cells are affected immediately during the treatment and will be destroyed by the lymphatic system quickly.
