I am writing to provide a reference letter for Magda Lawrynowicz.

I have the pleasure of knowing Magda for a number of years now, first as a customer at both the shops that I worked as a manager and supervisor (CRY and RSPCA) in Dorchester. And I also know Magda in her role of Personal Carer to a lovely neighbour from 2020 until my neighbour passed away in June 2021. I will refer to my neighbour as Mrs. Z

During the period that Magda cared for Mrs. Z who was in her eighties, I soon noticed an incredible improvement in Mrs. Z physical and mental health. Magda provided a lot of joy and cheerfulness around Mrs Z who had suffered an acute bereavement of a close family member while at the same time being very ill herself.

Magda would pay attention to every need and request from Mrs. Z and was always respectful and extremely caring towards her. Magda was always warm and cheerful and ensured that Mrs. Z was well looked after, always clean and all her needs fulfilled immediately. I noticed that she was happy and comfortable in the company of Magda.

I am also aware that Magda was always on time for her role as a personal carer and would arrive at work early and leave her job even later that she was supposed to go. She drives her own car.

I would highly recommend Magda for a new job in this field. Altogether Magda is friendly, caring and hard working.

Magdalena Lawrynowicz was the lead carer for my wife for several years before she passed away in early 2020 with advanced Parkinson’s.

In those years my wife was unable to communicate coherently, read, feed or toilet herself. Nor was she able to walk unaided. Despite these massive physically challenging difficulties, with Magdalena’s amazing professionalism, patience and care, my wife was never bed ridden and was able to walk short distances until the last week or two of her life. Thanks to the care she received from Magdalena and the supporting team, she was also able to avoid being bed ridden despite having been diagnosed 26 years earlier with Parkinson’s.

This was a remarkable achievement and testament to the devotion she received from all those who cared for her during those years.

Magdalena was always willing to go beyond the call of duty and did so throughout the time she was employed. During the final days, Magdalena worked 24/7 and helped greatly to ensure my wife was able to die peacefully at home. Without her help this would have been impossible.

Magdalena is as hard a working person as I have ever encountered. She is an exceptionally kind, generous and empathetic carer and we as a family are very grateful for her presence in our lives at a very difficult time. She helped make life more bearable for my wife in a very meaningful way. And in so doing enriched ours.
