Just 2 weeks away from the next informative evening talk! 🐾

If you own any large breeds including Retrievers, Shepherds, Rottweilers, Dobermans, Malamutes, Pointers and Greyhounds then this is for you! 🐩

The answer is almost anything! Physiotherapy for animals is so broad and no week is the same with my cases!

Here are just a few examples of some of canine cases I saw just last week. All very different, all benefitting enormously from targeted physiotherapy 🐩

Not sure if physiotherapy will be beneficial for your animals? Get in touch to find out! 🐈

Appointments are now open for 2026 (!!) and for those who don't see me on a super regular basis, it's advised to book in to secure a date which is best for you!

Appointments go very very quickly once advertised. Please also be aware that I usually take a little time off around Christmas and New Year so appointments should be made with this in mind 🐾

A slightly different post for this evening, mainly for my fellow professionals, but one I feel is becoming rapidly important❗

I see 'absolute terminology' used so frequently in all shapes and sizes, even outside of the veterinary world. It might not seem like a big deal, but using these 'fixed' statements surrounding our animals, especially regarding their health, can be damaging. The topic almost doesn't matter- we need to be very VERY careful with how we share information and knowledge.

Using inflammatory statements full of absolute terminology, especially for 'clickbait' may be causing more harm than intended.

Using these terms may narrow ours, our clients and our peers' mindsets and may even lead us to not fulfil best patient outcomes or may even cause harm. What might seem like a harmless statement...

"This condition is always caused by this"
"Your animal is absolutely pain free"
"This is definitely not linked to that"
"This will always affect that"
..Could lead to certain conditions not being considered as differential diagnoses, certain signs of pain being ignored, certain treatment options discounted. I could go on and on!

As a community and as a profession, we need to open our vocabulary, open our thinking, be supportive with our communication and "Do No Harm".

"At best this is a miscommunication, and at worst this is misinformation".

SUCCESS STORY: SURPRISE...

So excited to share Surprise's story with you all! Surprise and her owner are a testament to the benefit of doing your prescribed exercises! This mare has overcome a forelimb lameness and is now wanting to have a canter out hacking again, with her owner saying "she's back to feeling better than ever!".

Whilst we know Surprise's neck arthritis will never reverse, physiotherapy has helped find the perfect balance of techniques to help keep her happy, comfortable and functional so she can enjoy her days hacking with her owner. ☺

Absolutely love seeing Cassie and her owner Steph ❤️

Just like us, our dogs benefit from regular check-ups to keep them feeling their best 💪🏼

Cassie loves her bimonthly visit from Lauren Cranny Veterinary Physiotherapy as she gets lots of love and attention 🧡

Keeping Cassie fit and comfortable through massage, and mobility and strength exercises is so important to me, to keep her happy and healthy for as long as I can 🐶💕
