A glimpse of what’s to come… ✨

At Grassington House, we’re embracing the elegance of the building’s Victorian heritage, restoring its character with care, and creating a space that feels both luxurious and truly homely 🤍

The ceiling roses and cornicing are a perfect example of this, timeless features that bring depth, character, and a real sense of grandeur.

Seeing the chandeliers in place was a special moment, a real step closer to the atmosphere we want every resident to experience.

On my weekly doughnut round for all the absolute troopers working on the renovation 🍩

It’s incredibly busy in there every time I walk in, and I’m constantly amazed by how hard everyone is working. This is the very least I can do!

Today I had the pleasure of visiting the lovely Ben and George at Nourish HQ, who showed me some of the latest updates to the system while we’ve been busy renovating here at the home.

For those who may not know, Nourish is the digital care planning system we use at Grassington House. It replaces traditional paper notes and allows our team to record care, update care plans and monitor wellbeing in real time.

I’ve been using Nourish since they first launched, and I genuinely love it. It’s the only system I’ve worked with that truly supports person-centred care.

Having a system like this helps us keep everything clear, organised and up to date. It means nothing gets missed and we can quickly respond if a resident’s needs change.

But the biggest benefit is simple, it gives our team more time to focus on what really matters.

Spending time with our residents, getting to know them as individuals, and providing the kind of personalised care we would want for our own families 🤍

I’ve had a lovely morning reminiscing, looking back at old photos, special memories, and reading through some of the kind reviews our residents, their friends and families have left us over the years 🤍

It made me think about how powerful words can be. They mean so much more than we realise.

And it got me thinking about care homes and care settings in our community…
