Hi, Louisa here; it feels like a good time for a little reintroduction.
I’ve spent over 30 years working in the beauty and aesthetics industry, with the last 14 years specialising in permanent cosmetics and advanced skincare. My goal has always been simple: to help people feel confident and comfortable in themselves, in the most natural and authentic way possible.
I opened my first beauty salon when I was 19, grew it over five years, and then sold it in 2004 so I could travel around Europe teaching beauty techniques. It was an incredible experience, and when I was later offered the opportunity to open my own Centre of Excellence Academy, I didn’t hesitate.
After becoming a mum, I chose to step back from running the academy so I could focus on family life. A few years later, in 2012, I returned to permanent makeup as a freelance artist working across Dorchester and Sandbanks. As my client base quickly grew, I realised it was time to create something more permanent; a space that felt safe, welcoming, and genuinely supportive for everyone who walked through the door.
Nine years later, Highbrow is something I’m incredibly proud of. We now have a wonderful team who feel like family, and a clinic full of people who leave feeling their best selves.
