Casterbridge Manor is a Care Home in Cerne Abbas, Dorchester. It offers person centred Nursing, Residential and Specialist Dementia Care in a homely environment. Casterbridge Manor is a a two floor building which has 6 lounges and 4 dining rooms, there is also a Cinema room on each floor, quiet room, activities room, library and a pub which residents can choose to use at any time. It has large landscaped grounds and 3 garden courtyards where residents can enjoy and relax . On the Ground floor, within the main conservatory, where it is decked out with a Street Scene giving an 'inside out' feel. The Home also houses a Hairdressing Salon and a café in the reception area. The Home would cater for 64 residents providing Nursing and Personal care to people over the age of 65 for long and short term stays. The ground floor has 37 bedrooms, 3 of which are for couples that wish to stay together at the home. It is a nursing and residential community providing respite, intermediate, palliative and general nursing care. The second floor has a 24 bed Reminiscence community providing respite and permanent specialist Dementia care. All staff are skilled caring professionals, with specialist training.

We had a fantastic afternoon at our Winter Olympics! Working in teams, everyone took part in a mix of physical and mental challenges, and it was wonderful to see how much fun was had by all.

🎉January at Casterbridge Manor has been great! 🎉 We've had a wonderful time celebrating birthdays, belting out tunes during sing-alongs, and getting our groove on with some serious chair dancing 🕺. The art room's been a hive of activity - we're getting creative with decorations for upcoming events 😍. We have really enjoyed all the food the kitchen has been whipping us this month, especially the cakes🍰🎂🥧. We've also cozied up for movie days on the days the weather hasn't been so kind, making us feel all snug and warm 😊. As we wrap up January, we're excited for what's in store for us in February, with Valentine's Day 🩷❤️🧡💛🩵💚 and Chinese New Year 🧧🐎🍜🥠 🇨🇳

Today's Christmas party was a massive hit! 🎄 We've had an amazing afternoon partying away, and the residents were overjoyed with Brian's return for a good old sing-song 😊. A wonderful time was had by all!.

"Our residents kicked off the festive cheese tasting in style, donning sparkly Christmas hats and instantly getting festive vibes! One resident had everyone in stitches by comically moving their hat down to their nose 😂. The cheese selection was a hit - everyone tried a bit of everything and loved every morsel. The drinks trolley was a treat, with Baileys and other festive drinks flowing. Residents laughed along to staff sharing cracker jokes, and when asked about their cheese faves, the consensus was clear: 'They were all lovely!' 🤩"
