With our dining room decorated to mark VE Day, and us all ready to sing, who better to join us to mark the occasion, than Connie Cline? Connie treated us to a fabulous show of 1940s songs, even bringing her washing line (watch to the end of the video)! John was chief tambourine player and flag bearer, and the music and lyrics brought back lots of memories. Of course, some of those memories were bittersweet, and we took time to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice defending their country.

How fabulous to have a guided tour around Dorchester in a tri-shaw! Fresh air, the sounds of the river and the birds, and we didn’t have to pedal once! Such a lovely way to get out and about and see new corners of our lovely county town.

For International Jazz Day we were delighted to welcome back Dr Jazz, who are regular and very popular guests to Montrose. We really love their music and toes were certainly tapping! 🎶

What a fantastic weekend at Montrose! On Saturday we enjoyed some toe-tapping tunes from the fabulous Kelly Elaine, followed by the Grand National. Our residents held their own sweepstakes before the race, with Frank choosing the winning horse - I Maximus! 🏇🏆

Cheers from a sunny Dorchester! Making the most of the gorgeous weather we popped out for coffee. How heavenly to sit outside, putting the world to rights and just watching the world go by!
