A sad day today as we said goodbye to Ken! We held a farewell party in Ken’s honour with music from his favourite entertainer, Steve Nicholas, followed by a delicious buffet lunch. Take care Ken, we will miss you at Montrose.

On Saturday afternoon we had a real treat when 14 year-old Joe came in to play trumpet for us. Please listen to Joe play… he’s a real talent, and we’re so grateful to him for giving up his time to entertain us!

We began Valentine’s Day with songs from Steve Nicholas, and then our dining room was turned into a fabulous Valentine’s restaurant. Tables were dressed with our homemade decorations and every resident received a homemade Valentine’s cupcake and card with a chocolate heart. Our lunch was delicious roast lamb, followed by chocolate delice for dessert ♥️.

Friday the 13th wasn’t an unlucky day for John, as we helped him celebrate his birthday with a special treat of fish and chips from the chip shop. A big thank-you to Case & Brewer for supplying the fish and chips - they were delicious and enjoyed by everyone. Of course, we followed up with a traditional fabulous Montrose birthday cake! 🎣🍟🎂
