An early start today. Currently on the train to Swindon for 2-days to attend Caesarean scar course taught by Amy for Really looking forward to refresh my knowledge in this important and often forgotten area of care for mums.

What a week this has been, first of all returning from Milan, where I updated knowledge of scar treatments to yesterday evening attending a fascinating talk given by Jennifer Rees, expert Forensics lecturer on the psychology of serial killers. She explored myths and facts, clinical research that may help in profiling, discussed why some women fall in love with serial killers 😱 and how common homicidal fantasies are. There were probably more questions than answers, but overall a great evening She also shared a useful book on how to develop survival skills.

Flying over mountains en route to Milan where I am attending Looking forward to catching up with my pals, Emma and I have already met a fellow conference attendee at Linate airport, unfortunately our chat got curtailed as she dashed off realising she’d left her case on the plane 😣 I hope she managed to retrieve it and that we manage to catch up again over the weekend. I’m really looking forward to hearing about research and different techniques in scar management to help inform my own practice. Hope to get some sightseeing in as well as some lovely food. ❤️

2degrees!!cold water swim before work. I’m in clinic today seeing a variety of clients with scars and lymphatic issues. A perfect start to the day.

Did you catch the Quiet Moon/Wolf Moon last night? Jupiter was visible too! My camera phone photos didn’t do it justice. However, I did capture a lovely photo of it this morning as the sun was coming up at the lake. A very chilly dip/swim with .harries this morning at 2.5 degrees and -3 air, the electric hand warmers were much needed today.

Clearly I’ve been messing about with AI, to create a festive feel. A rather chilly dip with - 5.8 in the water today and air temp just 3 degrees 🥶🥶🥶 A lovely surprise to be joined by fellow cold water swimmer .harries for a post swim cuppa and catch up.
