After a day of power cuts and cancellations it was wonderfully affirming to receive this feedback from a new client. Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) can be a useful addition to the management plan for clients with lipoedema and lymphoedema — helping to ease swelling, improve comfort, and restore confidence. 💧

Feeling inspired after teaching the Restore Oncology Scar Specialist course at the in Bridgeton, Glasgow.
It was an honour to share advanced scar therapy knowledge with such a dedicated group of physiotherapists, massage therapists, Bowen therapists, reflexologists and acupuncturists.
Together, we explored gentle, effective techniques to support people living with the after-effects of cancer treatment — helping them regain comfort, confidence, and connection with their bodies.
Thank you to everyone who showed up with curiosity, compassion and commitment to improving patient care. 💛 Thanks to my amazing fellow tutor Caroline Callister and Lorraine Boyle for providing help and support to us all. We provided FREE scar treatments to a group of cancer patients in our supervised clinic.
Here’s to growing our community of scar therapists across the UK and internationally.

Great day spent with a group of Podiatrists yesterday in Horsham. This was a private course focussing on appropriate techniques to use in their clinical practice. One participant shared that a client describes her as the nail cutter 🙄, of course they treat so much more. Often involving complex wounds and ulcers as well as injuries or surgery to the lower limb. There were lots of laughs and silliness as we explored the deeper and wider effects of scarring and multiple scars. They picked up the techniques very quickly and were keen to return to work and start integrating the skills into their practice. Thanks to Michelle Collingwood, Chair of Mid-Sussex branch of College of Podiatry for hosting, and to our two demonstration clients who came with 1. A tri-malleolar fracture and dislocation and 2. A bunion surgery scar. Also thanks to for allowing us to use their venue Total Therapy Studios in Horsham. As always I went away the richer for our shared experience and learning.

We had lots of laughs and silliness exploring the deeper and wider effects of scarring. They picked up the techniques very quickly and were eager to get going with them when returning to work. Thanks to Michelle Collingwood, chair of mid-Sussex branch, College of Podiatry for helping to organise, to our demonstration clients (1. a tri-malleolar fracture and dislocation and 2. Post bunion surgery) and to Total Therapy Studios in Horsham for a great venue. As always I went away so much richer for the exchange of knowledge and ideas.

Just back from a very special weekend at St. Vincents Private Hospital, Dublin. We had a fabulous group of physios and massage therapists not only from St Vincent’s, but also across Ireland; including Sligo, Cork, Donegal and Drogheda. Huge thanks to Victoria, for being an excellent host, and to my helpers Emma and Triona. We had a lot of laughs as well as learning from each other and between us provided 22 scar treatments to cancer patients in our Free supervised clinic. I feel very blessed to be part of the Restore teaching team, and with concurrent courses happening in Nottingham and New Zealand, we truly were international this weekend ♥️. Scotland next for me in November
