🎋 Origami Fun - A Lost Pastime! 🎋

Today, we took a trip down memory lane with some good old origami! 🦢 For many of us, it’s a reminder of simpler times and today our residents embraced the challenge ! ✂️📄

With plenty of fun, laughter, and a sense of pride in their efforts, our residents created beautiful pieces, showing just how important creative activities can be in a care setting. 🌸💖

Seeing these happy faces and the satisfaction of their work reminds us of the joy in simple activities. Well done to everyone who took part today! 😊🎉

🎸 Anthony Castleman Music Brings the House Down at Downsvale! 🎤

What a week it's been! We’re spoilt for choice with so much fantastic entertainment to share with you, but today it's time to shine the spotlight on Anthony! Armed with his guitar, Anthony always guarantees a great time and as you can see in this video, our residents had a blast! 🎶💃

🎶 Franz Brings the Fun to Downsvale! 🎤

It’s been a little while since we’ve shared one of Franz’s incredible performances, but we’re back today with a treat! Our residents absolutely adore Franz and they’d have him here every day if they could. 🎶💖

And just to keep the musical energy high, we've had even more brilliant entertainers join us recently – Anthony & Peter were here too, and let us tell you, their performances were a hit! 👏🎸🎤

This just goes to show how much we prioritise our residents’ happiness, bringing the best entertainment right to their doorstep every day. 🌟

💪 Supporting Health & Wellbeing at Downsvale 🌟

At Downsvale, the health and wellbeing of our residents are at the heart of everything we do. ❤️ Each day, we provide tailored chair exercises that cater to each person’s abilities, ensuring that everyone can engage at their own pace and feel empowered. 🧘‍♀️

We believe in learning and evolving, which is why we also bring in external experts like Vincent (who has been a regular visitor over the years to our home) to introduce new techniques, further enriching the care we provide.

Our team is always on hand with eagle eyes, ready to apply what we learn to create the best care experience possible. Because nothing is more important than the health and wellbeing of our residents. 🌟

We were once again treated to a fantastic performance by the amazing Peter! 🎶 His incredible voice always hits the mark with our residents, as he sings all their favourites. 🎤❤️

From start to finish, it's always a thoroughly enjoyable time when Peter comes to visit. 🕺💃

Our Karaoke King, Jim, is back at Downsvale, and what a fantastic time we had! 🎤 Our residents absolutely love his visits, as we all pick our favourite songs and sing along together! 🎶

It’s always a special occasion when Jim comes to visit, and we love giving our residents the chance to choose their songs and discover what tunes others enjoy singing too! 🎶💃

Today, we’ve spoilt the lovely Yvonne with a special celebration! 🎈 Starting with bunting in her room, our team gathered to sing Happy Birthday, and Yvonne was treated to the most delightful chocolate cake! 🍰🎶

☀️ Soaking Up the Sunshine at Downsvale! 🌳

Pur residents have been making the most of the beautiful blue skies and warm weather! 🌞 With the gentle sound of birds singing in the background & our beautifully kept gardens, it's the perfect setting to enjoy some fresh air. 🕊️

Our residents love any opportunity to be outside, and we make sure they’re well taken care of with refreshing drinks and plenty of entertainment! 🎶

It’s all about happy days at Downsvale, and today is no exception. 😊

Sometimes, it’s our activity team that steps up and takes over the entertainment – and we absolutely love it! 🎤💫

When our residents are feeling musical and sprightly and our incredible performers aren’t around, we take the reins and give our residents exactly what they want – a fun, uplifting sing-along! 🎶

As you can see in this video, we had an amazing time all singing together. 😊
